R.I.P. DEAR WALLY AMOS
My heart is saddened to hear of his passing, my heartfelt condolences to his beloved family.

Wally is a legend for more than his FAMOUS AMOS COOKIES!

Wally was the first black agent signed to the most influential worldwide talent agency in the world WILLIAM MORRIS.

Wally signed me to William Morris agency and is responsible for my beginning success.

He accompanied me to my performances. One of my many fondest memories was my gigs in the Catskills he took me to the gigs and was always there to make sure I was taken care of.

I treasure all the great things he did for me, also our last meeting He did a event with Carolyn Goodman our mayor which is how I met her and Mayor Oscar Goodman. and a friendship continued with both of them because of Wally.

Wally's story is one to be told yet and I hope I can produce a movie
about him.
He was a force to deal with the best
Never forgotten🙏.
Wally you will be sorely missed loved by ALL!!

Rates Actually Fell to Recent Lows This Week
The rapid rise in rates has been a big problem for the housing and mortgage markets this year. Just last week, some reports suggested rates were near 8 year highs. The same sources reported that rates were 'unchanged' this week. One might conclude rates remained at 8 year highs this week, but by Friday, they were the lowest in more than a month!

How can that be?

It all has to do with the sources providing the underlying rate data and the media outlets who report on it. Freddie Mac's weekly mortgage rate survey is the only source of mortgage rate information used by many of the biggest media outlets. That's unfortunate for anyone relying on those stories for timely info on day-to-day rate changes. Freddie's survey is accurate in the long-run, but can lag reality by several days.

When it comes to interest rates, there are only a few quintessential sources of inspiration: the economy and the Fed. After entertaining a cadre of new suitors (like geopolitical risks and fiscal policy missteps), rates finally seem ready to reconnect with those familiar old flames. This week, that turned out to be a good thing.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Linda Griner. I’ve known Linda for over twelve years, and she is a woman of many talents. She is slow to share her unbelievable background. So…let me share a little about Linda with you:

Linda started her career in singing after being discovered by Smokey Robinson while she was living in Washington DC. Berry Gordy had her relocated to Detroit to be close to the studio. Smokey was Vice President of Motown at a very young age, and he realized the talent Linda possessed.

Linda was also groomed by Marvin Gaye to be a mega star and was among the artists that made Motown great. Within a few years, Linda, feeling the stress of Motown, relinquished her affiliation with them. Still, she went on to record hits with Columbia Records, Mercury Records, Quincy Jones, John Williams, just to name a few.

Linda is still recognized throughout the world for her contributions to the music industry, and retains super-star status in Austria, with a fan club in the thousands.

Linda has been involved in Las Vegas real estate for a number of years, long before the mortgage melt-down. She is a student of the real estate industry and our local community. She is passionate about the clients she works with, and understands the dedication needed to make every buyer and seller satisfied.

It’s been Linda’s drive, determination and persistence that I find so attractive about her. I work with lots of real estate agents, but there are few with her skill-set and constant desire to continually do better. That’s the quality of a professional…true to her work…true to the profession, and true to her customer base.
