To meet the demand from growing families in our Temple and the surrounding Henderson community, the Preschool is now accepting infants, starting at 12-weeks-old, in its Yellow Room. Our Infant Room will give families the opportunity to begin with us at an early age, grow together, and bring our community a safe and loving program that allows our infants to be included in activities meant to stimulate and enhance their development.
Infants will be cared for by nurturing professionals that know how to adapt to your infant’s schedule and routine, and will be part of a loving and stimulating environment within the Kantor ECEC Preschool.
Children are read to daily, take part in enrichment classes including Music & Movement, Sign Language, and Hebrew, interact with other children, and enjoy sensory activities that are appropriate for their age and ability levels.
The Kantor ECEC ensures children of all ages are exposed to a multitude of learning experiences. This allows those developmentally ready to have opportunities for deeper learning to take place.
For babies, almost everything is sensory play. That’s because, at this stage of play development, they constantly learn about their bodies and environment through their senses.
All of our activities are planned with intent to appeal to the different senses: sight, touch, hearing, vestibular, and proprioceptive; incorporating shadow and light, mirrors, water play, tummy time outdoors, kick and pull activities, and exploring items like sticky or tacky contact paper. The Kantor ECEC ensures children of all ages are exposed to a multitude of learning experiences. This allows those developmentally ready to have opportunities for deeper learning to take place.
