School is back in full swing and so is our Breakfast with Books program! Thank you to Eileen Conners Elementary School for being a fantastic host this morning!

The purpose of the family literacy program is to bring families together to participate in read alouds that will model skills to use in the home when reading with their children.

We are excited to welcome Veronica Gomez to our Board of Directors!

Veronica is the Vice President of Digital Member Experience with Greater Nevada Credit Union. As an avid volunteer in our community, she joined Spread the Word Nevada as a volunteer in March 2024 and has given countless hours back to the organization.

When not volunteering, Veronica is an avid reader and read 115 books last year. She is excited to share this passion with children in the community through Spread the Word Nevada.

Amid their efforts to keep our community safe and healthy, these wonderful ladies decided to drop by to help us clean gently used books for children in underserved areas throughout the valley. Thank you, UNLV Nurses Group, for prepping an incredible 376 books! We couldn't be more thankful and hope to see you again soon.

Thank you Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation for your incredible donation of 1,250 books, crayons, pencil sharpeners, and activity books. These contributions will make a huge difference in the lives of students this upcoming school year. 😃

We can't say goodbye to July without saying thank you to those of you who came out to our Fill-A-Bag event this month. Because of you, we were able to sell a record number of bags! Your contributions will significantly help Nevada's youth in need.
