The Speed and Agility Training will be held at our indoor training facility. We are a Google 5 star climate controlled indoor performance training center conveniently located in Henderson near the valley Auto Mall.
The program is designed to get you faster and more explosive from the start. Concentrating on lower body strength, power and speed drills. We do not do large groups! Commitment to an athletes success deserves attention to the details. So each group is limited to 6 athletes.

Overhead motions such as throwing, hitting and overhead lifting are the most stressful motions on the shoulder. Incorporating mobility drills is key for any athlete.

Our youth sports performance training classes are held Mon, Tue, Wed and Thu from 6-7pm. This youth class is designed for athletes 8-12 years old. With a cost of 150.00 per month (4weeks) athletes can come in 1 day a week or 4 days a week whatever suits their schedule. Feel free to give us a call or a DM to tryout the first session for free. (Free session for youth group only)
Youth class will work on linear and lateral speed development and basic fundamentals of strength training.

This exercise is great for lower body explosiveness and helps in developing knee stabilization, which is what we want for any athlete that needs to be able to change direction on demand, we also call it the jumping muscle. π¦π¦

Rotational Med ball toss. Something every baseball and softball player should incorporate into their strength training.
This is a great exercise for an increase in rotational power with helps with throwing/bat velocity.
It also helps teach muscular coordination and an increase in fast twitch muscle fibers.

We like to program unilateral training for our athletes because it helps build joint stability, neuromuscular coordination, and bilateral strength.

As an athlete, we need to be produce force in a very short period of time to better our ability to change direction, sprint, jump, and throw.

SHUFFLE DRILL
No matter what sport you play lateral shuffling happens a lot on the court or field! Unfortunately as simple as a shuffle is, many still do it incorrectly! Wether it be hopping or βclackingβ their feet to standing too tall. Failing to drive off your legs to change direction can slow down athletes and can make or break a play on the field/court! Here is a shuffle sequence we use with our athletes of all ages to improve multi directional speed!
1.) Shuffle starts
2.) 2 shuffles sprint
3.) come to cone starts
4.) visual reaction shuffle to sprint
5.) audio reaction shuffle to sprint
6.) Juke shuffle drill

Banded lean fall run/ Lean fall run

Banded lean fall runs and leaning fall runs are a great way to work on running mechanics and generating power on that first step. To start we have the athletes banded so we can assist them as they can get a feel for a good foward lean. Start on your tip toes with your body straight. Lean foward until you feel your going to fall . Now weβre looking for good front and back side mechanics.(knee drive hip extension etc. ) That first step should land where you think your belly button would be if you fell on the ground face first. This gives you a good target to shoot for so you are not under or over striding on take off. You can also do this drill without the bands and use a coach assistance like In the video. Once they have a good grasp of the concept let them try on their own.
