Should You Rent Out or Sell Your House? Figuring out what to do with your house when you're ready to move can be a big decision.

Who wants to pay more In property taxes???…. Not me

Nevada law limits the amount your annual property taxes can increase. The tax cap limit may be 3% on your primary residence and up to 8% on other property types.

From July 1st, the Clark County Assessor is mailing out Tax Cap Abatement Notices to properties that have had a change in the document number or ownership during that fiscal year.

Existing property owners may check their property tax cap by visiting the Treasurer’s Office website at https://www.clarkcountynv.gov/government/elected_officials/county_treasurer/index.php. If your tax cap is not showing as 3% and it is your primary residence, property owners must submit their claim to change their tax cap by checking the appropriate box, signing the postcard and returning it to the Assessor’s Office. The form can be returned by mail, in person or by email. Watch for the letter (SAMPLE BELOW) in the mail!
