THANK YOU BOB!!
After nine amazing years of instructing Belleville Henderson student-athletes, Belleville Henderson Assistant Trap Coach Robert Griffith is retiring.
Bob has been with the program since day one, helping and teaching me the sport he's loved for over 40 years. A state trap champion himself, Bob brought his expertise and experience that has resounded in teaching so many student-athletes to succeed at trap shooting.
Watching them grow and get better was always the core mission for Bob, he always had a smile when his tips and insights paid dividends on the 16-yard line.
I will truly miss our conversations about how to help our team improve, as his knowledge and love for the sport were endless.
Bob, thank you for your dedication and for sharing your expertise with the Belleville Henderson Trap Shooting Team.
I will miss that pink hat on Sunday mornings. Thank you for all you did!

Congratulations to Joe Canzonier for hitting 25 straight in the last round of the NYS High School Trap Championships in Syracuse! The winds were strong, but he adjusted and smashed every target.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON UPFATE!!
The Bridgeport grounds are flooded in certain parts, so parking will be in some muddy areas.
Bring rain gear and waterproof shoes for the day.
We could have cover at the state building nearby for heavy rainfall, but if anyone has a 10x10 canopy, please let Coach Winters know.

2024 NYS TRAP TOURNAMENT

The Belleville Henderson Trap Shooting Team will compete on field 10, with our two squads shooting FIRST ROUND - 9:00 am and 9:30 am and SECOND ROUND 12:30 pm and 1:00 pm.
Please arrive at the facility no later than 8:00 am, as the traffic coming into the grounds will be jammed and parking will go quickly.
We plan on cooking food at the field, despite being located near the food trucks. The Canzonier's will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs. We're asking if anyone wants to bring a snack or dessert to let me know.
We will put together the two squads on Saturday morning, as the weather currently is calling for on and off showers.

Strong winds this morning made those orange targets extra challenging, but the BH Trap Team adjusted through each round and made some exceptional shots.
Some targets moved both up and down several feet, but the team still managed to smash many of those wind pushed targets nicely! Our rookies did an amazing job today and will only continue to grow, and our veterans made themselves better with some “how did they hit those” shots.

The class is Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 9 am to 5 pm at the Henderson Fish & Game Club. Homework MUST be completed before class starts.
