Looks like the local GOP has some issues with the rule of law and basic human decency. Itโs not unlike their man at the top, but at least theyโve avoided committing felonies so far. Did we miss any? A Supreme Court Justice who wonโt recuse himself from a case involving a family member? A gubernatorial candidate who hasnโt paid taxes? Add yours in the comments!

๐ณ๏ธ Every Vote Counts: North Carolina Could Decide the Election! ๐ณ๏ธ
This election will be decided by just a few votes in key swing states, and North Carolina is fully in play. What we do now could determine the outcome, but we can't do it without YOU.
๐ฃ๏ธ Get involved! Whether it's donating or volunteering, your efforts can make the difference. We've already started canvassing and knocking on doors, but we need every hand on deck to keep up the momentum.
Remember, it's crucial to vote from the top to the bottom of the ballot. NC Republicans are running some of the most radical candidates in the nationโready to defund our schools, dictate our bedrooms, and take away our freedoms. We can't let them succeed.
What you do today could be the difference between a country moving forward with joy or one being dragged backward by fear. It's easier to make a difference now than to fight for survival later.
Let's fight together, because "when we fight, we win!"

New research from CU Boulder reveals that abortion bans could lead to a 24% increase in maternal mortality, with Black women facing even higher risks. This study highlights the severe impact of restricting reproductive care, particularly in states with already high maternal mortality rates. Investing in maternal health and ensuring access to safe abortions are crucial to prevent these tragic outcomes. Pregnancy shouldn't be a death sentenceโlet's fight for the health and safety of all women. Wow! Mo Green brought the house down this past weekend--at both our overflow breakfast AND the Educator Meet & Greet. If you missed it, be sure to read the recap on our news blog. Mo shared that we are in a fight for the "very soul of public education" and that everything he does, he does in honor of his mother, who went from being dirt poor to becoming a beloved special education teacher. "And you best believe that Iโm not going to do anything less than all that I can." Very exciting news this morning. Who is ready to Walz through North Carolina?

In picking Walz, whoโs in his second term and also served 12 years in Congress, Harris will have as her No. 2 someone with a proven record of winning over white working-class voters in Rust Belt states while also boasting a robustly progressive record.
