MEET CHEF TORY BOGIN

Hendersonville, NC is Chef Tory’s Hometown and he is deeply connected to our local community.

Chef Tory has honed his craft at esteemed establishments such as Rhubarb - Asheville NC, Vivian - Asheville NC, Blackberry Farm Walland TN, Frasca Food & Wine (1 Michelin Star)- Boulder, CO and recently The Horse Shoe Farm.

Culinary Journey: Having traveled the country, Chef Tory brings a diverse range of influences to our kitchen, blending Italian and Appalachian flavors to create a unique and dynamic menu.

Vision for Claywood: Chef Tory is passionate about creating an intentional, locally-supported menu that reflects the richness of our community. His vision includes:

Locally Sourced Ingredients that bring value and quality: he is committed to incorporating local ingredients into every dish, ensuring that our menu not only supports local farmers but also resonates with the seasons.

Culinary Culture: He aims to build a strong culinary culture at Claywood, with a focus on consistent food quality and an exceptional dining experience. Both in prep and in service the attention to detail and developing his team is the priority. He intends to educate and inspire guests with his craft through interactions in our open kitchen concept and during Wine and Whiskey Tastings!

Local Incentive: Offering up special menu entrees on certain evenings with a high quality and value based focus.

Seasonal Freshness: The menu will stay fresh and vibrant, with offerings that capture the essence of each season. No canned products or off season produce!

Defined Team and Roles: Forming a Sous Chef and Pastry Chef leadership team will create focus and deliberate menu offerings that allow any small plate, entree and dessert offering to pair eloquently together.

We are thrilled to have Chef Tory at the helm of our kitchen and are confident that his talent and vision will elevate Claywood’s dining experience. The newly designed kitchen and additional investments in more equipment will allow his vision to flow into your experience while dining with us.
