Shortly after purchasing the Inn we created the first video (in the comments) I just rewatched it. Today has been hard & I needed a reminder of why we do what we do.

There are a few verses we added to our video & I never noticed before but one has the incorrect address. This verse below comes from 1 Peter 1:7.

"These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world."

Early Christmas day God 2020 spared our lives and Echo Mountain Inn. My older daughter smelled smoke and the wellness building was lost. (video in comments)

In the building was also all my art. One of the paintings was titled "Burn Away the Dross".

The new building is almost ready. May we continue to bring much praise & glory & honor to His holy name.

Waterfall Wednesday

Moore Cove Falls falls 50 feet + you can walk behind it.

This waterfall is near the super popular waterfall Looking Glass. There are a few parking spots and you have to walk about a mile to find it. The walk is medium but not difficult. Take your time and look out for all the fantastic foliage!

Moore Cove Falls is located in the Pisgah National Forrest about 20 miles from Echo Mountain Inn.

Triple Falls is a great hike anytime of the year!

This was taken in the winter. It might get a little chilly here--but bring some layers to stay warm. Once you're hiking you'll get cozy and you'll be glad to have the trails mostly to yourself.

Triple Falls is in the same area has Ho**er Falls and High Falls. DuPont Forest is about 30 minutes from Echo Mountain Inn.

Fun Fact: This area was used to film Hunger Games.

If you are an adoptive/foster parent or parent of a child with special needs, this would be a great opportunity to getaway for some respite (without the kiddos) and stay at Echo Mountain Inn.

**As an adoptive mother & special needs mother I (Becky) personally know it's SO important to get away & it's even better when you can meet other parents on this journey.

Waterfall Wednesday

Whitewater Falls is the highest waterfall east of the Rockies. The falls plunge an amazing 411 feet!

Whitewater Falls is 35 miles from Echo Mountain Inn.

Becky and the kids went to see this last fall. It was raining by the time we got out of the car and we walked anyway. The rained stopped for just a quick bit and we were able to see the falls. Beautiful!
