Climate Solutions is a fast-growing family owned HVAC company in the Richmond area looking for dedicated, motivated and skilled professionals to join our team as Service Technicians and serve our customers alongside us. • $20-$35/hr BOE
• Spiffs/commission/bonuses

Job Summary: Perform skilled technical work in the maintenance and repair of heating and air conditioning equipment. Typical hours are M-F 7:30am-4:30pm with OT during peak seasons and minimal weekend call. Hours may vary during busy seasons. Must follow COVID guidelines.

Essential Technical Skills:
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning heating and air conditioning systems to determine the cause of the malfunction
• Perform scheduled maintenance inspections and adjust, clean and calibrate various systems to assure proper system operations
• Repair wiring and electronic components
• Replace expansion valves, compressors, motors, coil units, and component parts
• Evacuate and charge systems
• Check distribution systems for proper velocity, volume, temperate, pressure, etc.
• Provide technical assistance with the design of HVAC systems including installation and modifications to existing systems
• Provide training/support to newer technicians
• Provide thorough and complete details and pictures from each job in our electronic scheduling/invoicing software
• Collect payments and go over anything customer may have questions about
• Manage time wisely to cover an acceptable amount of service calls throughout the day
• Maintain proper refrigerant logs and comply with OSHA safety guidelines

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/GED
• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience as HVAC technician
• Knowledge of Trane systems and boilers a plus
• EPA certification
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office
• Must be able to pass random drug screens and background check
• Well-groomed and neat appearance
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, crawl in tight spaces, and use up to a 50 ft. ladder safely
• Customer service/team player attitude with excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
• Ability to go with the flow and embrace change and chaos at times
• Comfortable with mobile devices and electronic software for completing invoicing, adding job details, and collecting payments

M-F, no nights or weekends
$16+/hr depending on experience
