This review is written on behalf of my expectant wife [non-Yelper] who has been going to Dr. Levy for the past two months.

Throughout my pregnancy, I've had hyperemesis gravidarum (severe morning sickness). I've tried essentially every medication under the sun that the OB/GYNs recommend and they have either little or no effect on me. After having tried all different types of medication, I started exploring other treatment options and seeing a chiropractor was one of them.

I was extremely hesitant to see a chiropractor as I wasn't sure if it was safe for my baby. Prior to seeing Dr. Levy, I had done extensive research on chiropractors that have had experience treating pregnant women. Many of the chiros in the area that accepted my insurance either didn't have any reviews from pregnant women, or after having called into the chiro offices, didn't sound confident or convincing in their chiropractic treatment of pregnant women.

Dr. Levy was different. He was one of the sole chiros on Yelp that had any reviews from pregnant women in the South Bay/Beach Cities AND took insurance. Granted, their reviews were about treating their hurting or sore bodies as a result of the pregnancies, not so much regarding the nausea and vomiting, but I thought I'd give him a call. After speaking to Dr. Levy over the phone, he was confident, but was not promising what he couldn't deliver. He simply said, "Come on in and we'll see what we can do." Oh, and might I add, it also helped that he has 5 stars and well over 100 reviews!

In one of my earlier visits, I went into his office with severe nausea and was fighting off vomiting. After a quick adjustment, the nausea was gone for the rest of the day and I felt great relief, which was a big deal!

Although I started going to Dr. Levy primarily for the nausea and vomiting, he's definitely helped my body in adjusting to the growing uterus and back pain. The frequent adjustments have certainly helped make my body feel much better.

The man is awesome. He is very friendly, accommodating, and is very good at what he does. You can absolutely tell that Dr. Levy wants to help his patients and see his patients become well and better and that he's not "in it for the money." I feel like he genuinely cares about me and the rest of his patients. His front desk staff, Megan, is also very friendly, understanding, and caring. Definitely recommend Dr. Levy as a chiropractor!
