Dozens of masks from local workshops will be on display, along with live music, light fare, beverages, and great conversations.

I'm fine., a phrase we often say when we are not fine, is a statewide community project dedicated to sculpting mental health awareness, conversations, and support through art.

Initiated by co-curators Carrie Breschi and Maureen Joyce in 2019, I'm fine. consists of a series of workshops where participants create ceramic masks representing the outward "mask" each wears to portray, hide, or minimize their emotions and mental health challenges. I'm fine. workshops have made over 1,300 masks so far.

Public art installations and gallery exhibits like the BrainVessel Exhibit on April 12th-May 10th, 2024 showcase the participants' unique masks and meaningful stories.

The I’m fine. project is dedicated to Maureen and Kevin Joyce’s son, Patrick, who completed his life in 2018 after struggling with mental illness. The ginkgo leaf, which he often tucked in his pockets as a child, is incorporated into the I’m fine. logo as a tribute to Patrick.

Several dozen masks created by friends of Brainvessel and other local workshops will be on display. We will announce additional workshops if you're interested in being involved.
