The festival will be here in just three more days! Claim your voice by participating in one of these special festival sessions open to all who wish to tell a story! On Friday night, we will have an open mic event sponsored by the Mountain Area Storytellers and hosted by Kanute Rarey. Stories should be 7 minutes or less, and the first 8 tellers to sign up can take the stage. On Friday and Saturday, we’ll have drop-in story swap hours hosted by Judy Baker. Come by the Blue Ridge Room to listen or tell a story that’s 10 minutes or less. Also on Saturday, we’ll have a healing story circle for the sharing and honoring of difficult stories, led by Amanda Lawrence.
In-person festival tickets will be available at the door. Online viewing tickets are available at https://2024gmsf.eventbrite.com.
We’re trying something new this year! We’ll be livestreaming two sessions from the festival – the Friday and Saturday night olios – for everyone to see, no tickets required. To be notified when we go live, subscribe to our YouTube channel:

To raise funds to support our community outreach efforts, we’ll be raffling a quilt as part of this year’s festival. The design is a bookshelf full of colorful books—the perfect gift for a reader in your life or to keep for yourself. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. You don't have to be present to win the quilt. If you won’t be attending the festival in-person but would still like to participate in the raffle, just make a donation of $5 or more through our website by the end of the day on Friday, April 12 (since the raffle will be held on the 13th). We'll put the appropriate number of tickets in the drawing for you, and if you win, we'll mail you the quilt. Good luck, everyone!
