Safe Harbor is here for every woman. Our doors are open to all, regardless of race, religion, or background. We’re faith-based, but our hope is that the light and love of Jesus in our community will inspire—not pressure—our guests to explore a relationship with Him.
Over the weekend, some of our program participants had the privilege of attending the Breaking Darkness Festival. This music festival was also a wonderful opportunity to share with the community the incredible work God is doing through Safe Harbor. A big thank you to everyone who made it out to this amazing event!
Processing trauma is a journey, and at Safe Harbor, we walk alongside the women we serve as they confront and heal from the deep wounds of their past. Many have endured unimaginable experiences, but through Christ, they learn a new sense of self and gain the tools to process their emotions in a healthy way. When their time with us comes to an end, these women are no longer defined by their trauma but step into the world as whole and empowered individuals. If you or someone you know may benefit from the programs we offer, give us a call at (828) 326-7233 or visit our website at safeharbornc.org.
To our incredible Life Renewers, your unwavering support fuels the life transformation happening at Safe Harbor. We couldn’t empower so many women without you by our side—thank you for making a difference!

On this National Senior Citizens Day, it's important to acknowledge the harsh reality that many of our elders are facing - finding themselves without housing or the resources needed to improve their circumstances. This is where The Passage steps in, offering a safe and stable place for women facing unimaginable circumstances, ensuring they don’t have to navigate life on the streets.
To become a participant in The Passage, women must first be guests at our Community Center, where their need for this program is assessed. We are committed to providing a secure environment where they can rest and rebuild their lives. To learn more about The Passage or any of our other programs at Safe Harbor, visit safeharbornc.org or call us at (828) 326-7233.
We are truly blessed to have our Recoverers of Life standing with us, providing ongoing support to the women and children in our programs. Your kindness and dedication inspire us all.
When asked about their new life with Hailey, a former program participant, after her time with us at Safe Harbor, the women in her life shared these heartfelt words:
"This journey is a testament to the truth found in Proverbs 31:25: 'She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come,' " shared Hailey's mother.
Her mentor, Crystal, added, "So thankful that Hailey asked me to be a part of her story alongside Gigi and Brooke, whom I love and admire greatly for their unconditional love, grace, and sacrifice they made to be Jesus in Hailey's life when she needed it most. Such a beautiful family inside and out."
As T.D. Jakes beautifully said, "Like a fine necklace, wisdom adorns and makes everything beautiful, better, and more fulfilling." This wisdom shines brightly in Hailey's journey and the love that surrounds her.
If you have the ability to help, it goes a long way in this community!

We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of our community. With the recent news of one of our cherished partners closing their doors, we're taking a moment to reflect on the impact our community has had on our ministry over the years. Safe Harbor relies on the generosity of our donors to provide a safe, welcoming environment and the tools necessary for the women we serve to find freedom in Christ and continue bettering their lives long after their time with us. We trust that God will continue to work through this ministry as we move forward together.
