This was my Favorite!!! FINALLY!!! Number twelve in the Fused Glass Inspired By The Master Series. This artist was born in Spain in 1893. His works were influenced by the art of children. He is know for his dream-like fantasy in his work. Often his work was described as being Surrealist. Who is this Fantasy Painter?
Eleventh in the series! This artist was a Canadian born painter from Quebec. He is best known for his abstract painting style. He did not paint with the typical paint brushes but used a pallette knife to apply paint. Who is this painter??? This is a hard one!!!
This is the Tenth installation of The Fused Glass Inspired my the Masters series. Only two more to go!!!! I know what you are thinking!!! Stop it!!!
This artist was a American artist born in 1912 and is known as developing the "Drip Painting" technique. Often called "Motion Painting." He was a major figure in the Expressionist Movement. This is an easy one!!! Who is this Artist???
Number nine in the series Fused Glass Inspired By The Masters. This artist was born in Austria in 1862. His main subject to paint was the female body. Many of his works contained gold leaf. One of his most famous paintings was The Kiss!!! This my favorite artist!!!
Number 8 in the series!!! This artist was a Dutch born artist. He was one of the pioneers of abstract painting. He was a lover of Jazz and had a love for order and balance in his paintings. In his paintings he used the primary colors plus black and white. He defined Neo Plasticism (a New art-with purity in lines, shape, and colors). With his love of American music and dance he moved to New York City in 1940 where he created Broadway Boogie. Who is the artist? This is an easy one!!!
This is the seventh Installment of the series Fused Glass Inspired By The Masters. This artist was born in France in 1901. He didn't start painting until he was 41 years old. He was widely know as a Sculpture Artist. In his sculptures, he commonly used red, black, white, and blue in his art. He made art for the common people. He admired the Graffiti Artist of his time, and thought that kind of art was more alive. Who is this artist? You will never get it!!!
Welcome to the sixth installment of the Fused Glass Inspired By The Masters series. This artist was accredited as being The Master Of Abstract Expressionism. He was born in 1910 in Pennsylvania. His work was characterized by painting in black and white lines and using bold brush strokes, preferring to use common house paint in his paintings. He dedicated his life to teaching and taught at the Black Mountain College in NC. Who is this amazing artist?
The fifth Artist in this series Fused Glass Inspired By The Masters is by no means a "OLD" Master, but is one of the most iconic and enigmatic artist of his generation. He was born New York in 1960, and tragically died at the age of 27. His "Untitiled" painting sold in 2017 for $110,000,000 to a Japanese art collector. He was a Graffiti Artist turned Art Sensation. Who is this Art Sensation?
The fourth Artist in this Fused Glass Inspired By The Masters series is a artist that was born in Ukraine in 1893. Her father was killed in a political unrest, causing her family to migrated to New York City in 1908. She was a grandmother when actually started painting. The third artist to be celebrated in our Fused Glass Inspired By The Masters journey is an artist that was born in 1891, in Columbus Georgia. She grew up Washington DC. She was a graduate from Howard University, becoming the first Black Women to graduate in its Art Department. She was a Jr. High School teacher for 35 years. She was very spiritual in her work. This is the second in the installment of Fused Glass Inspired by The Masters. This Artist was born in Japan in 1929, and moved to New York City in 1956 to become a star.
She created art using Polka Dots and Infinity Nets Paintings. She was obsessed with Polka Dots for decades. She was a Russian born artist and Designer who led the early 20th century art movement with new and unusual ideas by using bright colors and geometric shapes to create multi layered works of art. She was also an accomplished designer who applied the same use of bold colors and shapes to create textiles and furniture. She was one of the few women artist to achieve success and recognition in the male dominated field of art in the early 20th century. Can you name this artist who inspired this glass art???
