Is Santa looking for a new reindeer because my name is Leyla!

Recently, a lot has changed in my life but to sum it all up, I was abandoned at the clinic and I’m looking for a new family. I am fairly young and have a lot of energy that I would love to share with you. I like to spend my spare time watching squirrels and birds, and I really enjoy chasing my favorite ball at the dog park. I am very well behaved on my walks and I’m excited to make new friends. I have met so many new people traveling through downtown hickory, Glenn Hilton and Lowes Hardware (Did you know they have treats in their pockets??). I’ve been told I’m a really good girl!

I am up to date on my vaccines and will soon be spayed and ready to go. (I am not so keen on cats, and would prefer a home without them. I’m still learning how to feel about other dogs.)

Santa is coming to town faster than you can say “Fetch!”, but not as fast as it’ll take for you to fall in love with me!

Jinx is still available for adoption and is current on vaccinations!

This is Jinx! She was a stray who hitched a twenty-minute ride in the undercarriage of a car. Her current family took her in, got her kitten wellness check and vaccinations. Her human family adores her but the other cats in the household are not adapting to her. Her family wants her to have a home where she is loved by the two legged and four legged members.
Jinx is rambunctious and has a big personality. She would do best in a home that has a younger cat who needs a playmate or that has people with plenty of time to keep her entertained and cuddled because she doesn’t like being alone. Since she has a history of crawling into cars and an extraordinary ability to fit her way into virtually any space, she will do best as a purely indoor cat where she doesn’t have to look for a warm bed and where she’s not going to get stuck or lost. She is fully litter trained and has never had an accident outside of her litterbox.
She doesn’t seem to mind other cats if they don’t mind her. She would be okay in a home with laid back dogs who don’t mind her antics and curiosity. If you think Jinx will be a good fit for your family, you can contact Rebecca at 828-459-6661.

A Spook-tacular Season is upon us and to start out the fun holiday season we’re going to begin with a costume contest October 3rd-31st. You may upload your photos in the comments for others to enjoy but your pet will only be entered if they’re BROUGHT IN. So starting tomorrow bring your fur babies in for their picture and a chance to win. Prizes will be posted in our lobby and winners will be announced the following week.

Hey Everyone this is Zero. Please be on the lookout for him as he was Last seen near 23rd Ave NE, Hickory, NC. Behind Publix at Northview Middle School. He is only 11 months old and very friendly if you have any information or pick this sweet boy up please call us @ 828 304 0550 or bring him into the clinic. He is microchipped.

Happy Labor Day! We will be closed Monday September 4, 2023 in observance of Labor day. If your pet has an Emergency please contact an Emergency Vet.

Here are some pet safety tips for Labor Day Weekend:

*Beat the heat- make sure your pets have plenty of water and shade for the warm weekend ahead.
*Protect your Plate- Onions, chocolates, corn cobs, and many other foods consumed this weekend can be harmful for your pet.
*Guard the Grill- A grill and grill tools can cause harmful burns to pets and/or possible chemical ingestion.
*Be ready for fireworks- make sure your pet is secured safely for fireworks and wearing a name tag and/or microchipped.
