More repair work…. On these old barns, we had to do some lifting of the settled portions of the structures, we tore out wall sections, seal beams and old doors. Before and after pics below.

Another recent job…. We re-purposed a to***co barn for a repeat customer so that they could use the building for years to come and have an improved curb appeal.

Recent renovations to a large barn that was previously used for a dairy operation. We removed siding, re-framed walls and went back with white oak board and batten siding. Remember us for any barn or building needs. We are always asked “are y’all still tearing down barns?”. We are building and repairing/ repurposing for the majority of jobs we do now. More work we’ve recently done. The customer had a design for sheds in mind and we worked his plan. He now has room to park his equipment.

We’ve recently completed this project, it is different than what we have done in the past. We not only tore a barn down, but then built a brand new one in its place.

It was a time consuming but fun job and we think it turned out great. The Barnworks crew put in a lot of hard work and we are thankful for them.

*Most people don’t know that we aren’t doing much reclaiming of material lately unless it is to be used on another project. We have been building, rebuilding, repairing, or adding on to barns. Call us if you need us.

Maybe one of our wildest transformations. The customer had a vision and a sawmill. We worked at the pace of when the materials were available. This old barn was built many years ago out of parts from a hand hewn timber frame. Then we stripped it down to almost nothing and brought it back to life. We are glad to be a part of its history!

This customer had a shed tore down a while back and wanted to re-build and leave this small shed inside the first bay.

When you’re this far off grid, you bring it all with you.

Another recent repair of a shed that was falling off of a barn. Removed the bad shed back to solid and built back to the customers specs.

We recently took down a log to***co barn and salvaged what we could from the pretty deteriorated logs. We were able to cut it down and make a pretty neat little primitive cabin over looking the customers pond. The logs will be chinked at a later date.

Recent redo farm project we did. We did multiple repairs on hay/equipment storage barns and completely reworked this 36x50 hay shed.

Another old to***co barn saved and repurposed. Board and batten oak siding and a new lean to shed off the front. Custom door for the dogs that will soon call this barn home. If you can think it up for an old barn, we can and will do it!

A project we finished up last week. It turned out nice. We tore off the existing roof and shed structure. Built a new shed roof around 2 sides, new roof on barn, raised the door height on the existing openings, opened a serving area/bar, repaired an entire corner of the structure that had water damage, and covered the foundation with colored mortar so that all the different materials it was originally built with would match.

These to***co barns are all around our area and people are starting to repurpose them for all sorts of uses. If you have one you’d like us to look at, let us know!
