Fun weekend at Summit Point for the VRG Jefferson 500! Yeah, it rained and was chilly at times, but we had a great time visiting with racing friends. Plus, we placed first and second in the Rocker Cover Race!

And he races a very well prepped Z to boot! Da Man, Da Myth, Da legend….

Have to share a cool story! The racing driver of this beautiful Z won our 50/50 raffle. (Half of the $3030 collected). When Chris Zappa came over to collect his winnings, he shared with us that he raises money and helps those in his hometown (near Pittsburgh, PA) who need assistance to pay for emergency medical bills and spay/neuter. It all started when he was at his own Vet one day and a woman needed emergency care for her pet that she couldn’t afford. He stepped up and paid it for her and then his generosity blossomed into a fund and he now raises close to $20,000 each year to help animals and owners in need. Chris asked us to keep half of his winnings and the other half is going to his fund to help animals in his hometown as well. Now that’s a Win-Win! Thank you to everyone who bought tickets in our 50-50 raffle and as always we greatly appreciate the support and generosity of so many.

Other than the weather at Amelia Island affecting some of the events, we had a great four week trip. Bob & Bobby Criss traveled down to hang out with us at the Sebring 12 Hour. We are schooling them on how to spectate😉

Live from Turn 11 @ WGI!

Those who know, know….Saturday morning, September 9, starting around 9am at the BARC compound at Turn 11, BaconFest Around The World Tour! During our Westward Ho trip earlier this summer, we picked up regional bacon as we traveled and will put it up against our Best of NC Bacon. Those on the guest list know who they are! We have 6 packs of bacon from our travels and 14 pounds of NC bacon, plus 3 pounds of NC sausage. Bacon Bob will don his apron, hat & socks and cook until it’s all gone.
