Summer Construction is progressing along! We are in the 7th year of our 10-year Long-Term Facility Plan! Last year was hallway wall painting and carpeting. This summer classroom painting and the first phase of renovating a middle school science classroom.

The Illinois Special Olympics Summer Games kicks off today!! The Hillside Blue Jays and the Hillside Police Department did not disappoint with their generosity once again this year! We wish all the athletes an amazing weekend! “Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.” GO FOR THE GOLD, ATHLETES!!

Yesterday was our 5th-grade Celebration of Learning. The students received awards and certificates for moving up to middle school. We are extremely proud of our Blue Jays!

I was so proud to attend my former student, Jasmyne Boone, who I taught in borh 1st and 2nd grade, "Signing day." She was awarded an athletic scholarship for volleyball to D1 Saint Francis University in PA. Another Bluejay making an impact...💙🤍

Today, our students had an opportunity to be urban planners and provide input/feedback on West Cook Bike and Pedestrian. Thank you to the reps from San Schwartz for engaging our students in a great conversation on the challenges of navigating the Proviso Area.

Board of Education Vacancy Applications Applications Due June 7

Being a 1:1 school, computers are everywhere., but cursive writing is still essential. I love watching the 2nd-grade students practice their cursive writing today.

The cross country team had a great run today!

Congratulations to our six Hillside students who performed in the Austin Neighborhood Choir's spring concert on Saturday, April 27! The concert was outstanding!
