We made with (2) organic whole chicken - we dressed + roasted them in olive oil, homegrown rosemary + oregano, local ahualoa carrots, kohlrabi from , maui onion, garlic. Garlic salt + pepper 😋

Popoulu mai’a, .75cents per pound, available in our farm store 🤙🏾

Popoulu - an apple-like flavor. Eaten fresh or cooked.

We like to steam with skin on when yellow, ripe. Let it cool. Unpreel and cut into circular pieces. Put in a bowl. We add coconut cream, pinch of alae salt, coconut flakes. Set in fridge. The flavor is savory and mildly sweet. Thinking of making Popoulu lumpia when ripe 😋

When green, you can use it as a cooking banana. When yellow and ripe,good to eat.

We like steaming it when it’s yellow, skin on. When pau, let it cool and unpeel. Cut into slices, add some coconut milk, shredded coconut, little bit Hawaiian salt, cacao nibs. Good to go 😋

It was a misty morning with light rain coming down. We ran out of the warehouse knowing there would probably be a rainbow. And there it was…on our soccer field, over the mauka goal post. Maka ran out with us too…..so we took a pic 😍
