Something I really treasure about Hingham is the rich history, noticed through its architectural landmarks! 🏛️ From colonial times to the present, Hingham's buildings tell the story of its past. This is the Benjamin Lincoln House. Here's a quick snippet from the Hingham Historical Society: The Benjamin Lincoln House, at 181 North Street, in Hingham, stands in the heart of one of New England’s most historic towns—as it has for over 350 years. Its most famous resident, Major General Benjamin Lincoln, 1733-1810, was the fourth Lincoln to own the house that his great-grandfather Thomas built around 1665. Remarkably, for an additional seven generations after General Lincoln, spanning another 200 years, the Lincoln family continued to call his house home. In 2020, after 11 generations and 375 years, the Benjamin Lincoln House was sold to The Hingham Historical Society and in 2021, the majority of the contents of the home were gifted to the Society. We are proud to steward this Hingham town treasure into its fourth century and excited to share with you the American History stories it brings to life. Today, I'm sharing my favorite summer appetizer with you! Shrimp & Cucumber Bruschetta. 🍞🍤 It's fast and easy! 👉🏻 Slather a baguette with the cream cheese mixture, then add cucumber. Add another layer of cream cheese mixture then butterflied shrimp. Top with fresh dill. Bon Appetit! ✨ Ingredients 👩🏼‍🍳 ▪️ 24 toasted baguette rounds- you can toast your own or purchase at Fresh Market. ▪️ 12 jumbo cocktail shrimp butterflied and tail off. ▪️ 8 oz soft cream cheese. ▪️ 1/4 c heavy cream. ▪️ Fresh lemon juice, 1/2-3/4 lemon squeezed. ▪️ 1/2 tsp garlic powder. ▪️ 3 T fresh chopped dill- 1/2 in sauce and 1/2 for final topping. ▪️ One cucumber peeled and scored with a fork.
