Adoption update: Niawen (thank you) to everyone who put in an application for Lady Sif. She is currently in her new adoptive home and it’s going great!
Her new name is Aurora and has been welcomed with open arms by the children in her new home! Aurora was a long awaited addition to the family. And don’t worry if you would like to adopt we have plenty of kittens to choose from and will post when they are ready!
Also a great big thank you to the foster home that took care of Sif when she wouldn’t p**p in her litterbox bc she didn’t know how, dealt with her fleas, gave her antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection and most importantly, cared for her skinny little body when she was found on the street. ❤️

The two polydactyl males have been vaccinated, dewormed, flea treatment and examined by our vet. The picture of the 3 together have not been seen by us. This little cutie is still available for adoption. She was so skinny when her foster took her in and nursed her back to health❤️she also had an upper respiratory infection which we treated and now has cleared and is doing great! Lady Sif is her name and cuteness is her game! She is about 8-9 weeks old. Cutest big cheeks just like a maine c**n! Great news to share! In addition to the free monthly vaccines we provide we will be receiving flea and tick medication and heartworm medication for the pets of Akwesasne! These will be free for community members! Thank you to Greater Goods Charities and Boehringer Ingelheim! We are so happy to be able to provide this for Akwesasne! We have so many new programs starting and can’t wait to share them with you! ❤️🐈‍⬛❤️🐕🐾

So we mentioned our grant award yesterday, it’s for $2,000! As part of the grant we must raise the matching amount of $2,000. It’s called the 2024 Business Challenge. Can we get 4 businesses to donate $500 each to support Operation Takos?!? Tag a business you think would help our community out! All the funds go right back to helping our TNR efforts. (trap neuter return of the community cats of Akwesasne) In the end we will have $4,000 to help the community cats!❤️🐈‍⬛🐾

We are happy to report that Shimo and Kong have been adopted together and went to their new home today! ❤️🐾🐈‍⬛ They were the sweetest kittens and we will miss taking care of them! ❤️
Also niawen to the anonymous donor of the $.05 bag of cans, they can be dropped off anytime at 20 Swamp Rd! This is the only approved drop off spot that we collect cans and we are always accepting them to help offset costs to care for the kitties!🐾 Niawenkowa! An amazing day in Akwesasne! Happy Memorial Day!

We will be set up at Roadblock Billys parking lot at the memorial day parade on Sunday. We will have 50/50 tickets and a mohawk raffle, some prizes include (5) CKON swag bags with BINGO gift certificates, Gucci pet carrier, bakeware, pop up gazebo, 32” TV, kids summer basket of goodies, Spongebob cat house and much more! we will also have our little kittens Kong and Shimo with us!!! We are still accepting donations for the raffle please donate if you can!! We will accept Venmo and Etransfer, Paypal and Cash!!
