We have had another successful fire prevention! 921 students from St Regis Mohawk School, Ahkwesahsne Mohawk School, Kanatakon and Tsi Snaihne schools! Fire prevention, Halloween safety, stranger danger, helmet safety to name a few of the safety messages we sent home with our community youth. Of course, we also sent home everyone’s favorite…the plastic fire hats!

Come tee off for the HAVFD! The ACSA and Montour CPA are co-hosting a charitable golf tournament for the Hogansburg Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department on Friday August 9th. Team registrations are available on the registration form below. Please bring completed registration form and fee to Montour CPA office at 609 Route 37.

We would like to give a shoutout to Hurricane Fuels / Cyclone Grocery at the 207 and Rt 30 exit in Kahnawake. Today we brought Tower-94 for service in Brossard, on the return trip we stopped to refuel and the owner covered the cost of our fuel bill.

A tornado watch has been issued for much of Northern New York.

HAVFD would like to give a huge thanks to the Akwesasne Community Fund for their financial contribution. The funds were used to outfit HAVFD’s new pumper truck located at HAVFD Station 3 in Snye with the equipment and tools needed to get the truck into service. The truck is a great addition to the HAVFD fleet and will serve the community for many years to come.
