Join the City of Holyoke for the second Natural Hazard Mitigation and Climate Adaptation Plan Update public workshop!

Hazards such as floods, wind storms, and heat waves do not affect people equally. Have you experienced loss or disruption from natural hazards and climate change? We would like to hear from you. Your input will be used to update the Hazard Mitigation and Climate Adaptation Plan.

Join Holyoke’s Office of Conservation and Sustainability and Kestrel Land Trust on a guided tour of Anniversary Hill Park to explore the Phase 1 trail improvements.

There will be a shuttle with limited seating that leaves City Hall at 9:45 AM, arriving at Anniversary Hill Park by 10:00 AM. The shuttle will return at 11:00 AM and participants will arrive back at the City Hall by 11:15 AM. Please use the QR code to sign up to take the shuttle. See you there!

The Holyoke Public Tree Inventory is underway thanks to a grant from the Department of Conservation and Recreation! Here are Greg, Tonay, and Ashley of collecting species, size, and health information for every tree growing in a public location. Data will be made available to the public online, and serve as a valuable tool for better urban forest management.

Very excited about our recent collaboration with faculty from Holyoke Community College and Smith College!

Botany on the Beat | Holyoke Community College As a service learning project this fall, botany students at HCC are helping Holyoke assess the health and diversity of city trees as part of an urban tree inventory.

Thanks to everyone who came to help clean up Slim Shad Point this morning for the Source to Sea cleanup event!

Together, We picked up over 150 lbs of trash and recycleables, and ate many snacks!

We are thrilled to be collaborating with Greenagers at our Gloutak Woods property this summer!

Mayor, teens help improve Gloutak Woods trail in Holyoke The Holyoke Conservation Commission along with Greenagers, a non-profit youth stewardship organization, helped improve the trail system in Gloutak Woods.
