What can I say about Lindsey’s wedding other than it was a dream! The setting (can you possibly beat Autumn in Vermont?), the ethereal braided floral hairstyle, the DANCING. I’m so pleased to have been a small part of it.

I’m such a sucker for backyard weddings (they might have been the saving grace of 2020!) Early last summer, Teegan and her fiance were in the process of building their dream home in Western MA, and it was the perfect place to host a group of their nearests and dearests. I managed to narrowly dodge a seasonal downpour on my way into their under-construction house to do makeup just for the bride. And with all the big windows, I had plenty of good natural light in which to create her modern look: glowing skin, minimal eye makeup (but with individual lash clusters, of course!), and a pop of color on the lips. *chef’s kiss*

Barbie wedding, anyone? OK, it was more of a tongue-in-cheek thing than an actual theme, but Christina definitely has the hair and the bubbly personality to pull it off. Glowing skin, lush lashes and pink lips completed her look, and I absolutely loved her reaction when she looked in the mirror.

There is nothing quite like doing makeup while occasionally glancing out the window at a beautiful body of water, and the Lake House Guest Cottages are definitely no exception. Every time I’ve worked there, I’ve taken the opportunity to step outside, spot passing kayakers, take a breath, and appreciate the serenity. There really is nothing quite like the Berkshires.

This right here is what effortless bridal glamour is all about: defined eyes in neutral earthtones, paired with soft peachy-pinks on the lips and cheeks. The makeup is not invisible, but it doesn’t take over, either – you still look like yourself, and it’s easy to adjust the tones and intensity to your own preference.

It’s one of my favorite styles to do, and Delia pulled it off beautifully at the Inn on Boltwood!
