It was great to see so many faces back around the rinks for public skating and to benefit an important cause.

FMC Ice Sports donated nearly 150 hours of ice, spread out between 12 rinks, for this 2 weeklong event.

Instead of admission, we suggested donating any dollar amount to The Jimmy Fund, which helps support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. These donations allow Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.

We are proud to announce that together we raised $5,000!!

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this great cause and we look forward to hosting this event again next summer around the rinks!

What is Box Lacrosse?
“Box lacrosse is an indoor lacrosse variant of field lacrosse. It has many similarities to ice hockey; namely, it is played in a hockey rink with carpet turf or athletic flooring. Its smaller field of play facilitates a great mix of fast-paced, physical play with graceful offensive finesse. Box lacrosse is fantastic for learning how to handle the ball in tight spaces, become a more physical player, and develop sharp stick skills which can benefit field players!”

We are inviting our FMC family and friends to join us for an Open Skate before the game!! You'll also get to see our Learn to Play and Hockey Step 1 skaters playing in their own game during intermission! 🏒🥅

Here are the details:

-Skate on the ice before the P-Bruins game!
(Skates not provided)

-Great Seats at a special discounted rate!

-Hats and team posters are included for all kids attending.

-Special recognition on the Jumbotron during the game.
