Ethan Eisenberg has been named the Ed Schwarz Outstanding Communication Student for the 2023-2024 academic year. This award is named in recognition of retired Professor Ed Schwarz, who dedicated 23 years to teaching communication classes at Prairie State College before retiring in 2018. Professor Schwarz excelled in teaching and held roles as the Coordinator of Communication and Chair of the Department of Humanities, Communication, Fine Art and Performing Arts.

The award recognizes exceptional second-year students who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in Communication coursework and activities on the PSC campus.

Ethan has been active in the PSC community being the master of Ceremony for two years at the annual Jazz Fest closing concert.
