Honu 🐢 (The Hawaiian green sea turtle) is a symbol of resilience and connection to the natural world in Hawaii.
Honu are greatly cared for on the Hawaiian islands, and heavily protected because of their endangerment.

Honu are believed to be born in the realm of pō (darkness), where life is created and spirits return. Further, it is said that hero Aiai created the Honu by drawing marks on a rock near the water, this being the reason they return to shore to lay eggs as they were of the land before they were of the sea.

The opening reception for Sarah Caudle's Huakai exhibition will take place on Sunday, April 28th, one week from today.
You'll have the opportunity to meet Sarah Caudle and hear various stories directly from her on the day of the reception party.
It will be a very special and unforgettable experience to hear about the artwork directly from the artist.
Sarah Caudle, who has been known as an ocean resin artist, has now transitioned to depicting the mountains of Hawaii, creating pieces that she herself finds healing.
These works are sure to soothe your weary soul as well.🌺

We are very excited to announce the solo exhibition marking the return of after an absence of about two and a half years. Please come and see for yourself the original works featuring Hawaiian mountains and botanical motifs that she created during this two-and-a-half-year break from her art practice. The artist herself will be attending the opening receptions in Haleiwa and Waikiki. Let’s all celebrate her comeback in a big way.
