2020 has certainly been a year of the unexpected. At this time, we had anticipated having weekly shows and classes, highlighting the talents of this amazing community of performers of all walks while bringing laughter and fun into your lives.

It has been hard to make the choice of not having shows as we are performers ourselves. Keeping up with the state's COVID guidelines in perpetual flux makes it hard to plan ahead for when our doors can be open to you all. We want to do what is safe, so our doors will continue to remain closed for large events for now.

We are setting up for our own live stream shows to share our stage life with you in the comfort of your preferred streaming device. We also want to let our performance community know that our showroom, podcast room, and classrooms are available for rent for your own productions.

What we can do is offer our space for certain small events. Live streaming shows, meetings or presentations, podcast recordings, writer's meetings, a general place to focus. As long as it abides by the current State of Hawaii COVID policies, we will have a stage and space for you and your team.

Aloha friends, fam, and supporters!

We have officially come to an exciting close to our fundraiser! Thanks to your support, we raised an incredible total of $5,000 which by no means is any small amount! We are ever so thankful to everyone that helped us along the way, from donating to sharing our fundraiser to even popping in to say hi! Each gesture meant so much to us and really proved how much inspiration our space is creating within the scene. If you would still like to contribute to the fundraiser or claim a perk, feel free to send us an email at [email protected] and we will see if we have the perk available.

There are a few things still left to do on our list and the current COVID-19 climate has hindered our progress by a bit, as it has limited us to move safely while keeping others safe. As the mayor of Honolulu and governor of Hawaii decreed limiting gatherings of 10 persons as well as encourages social distancing, we agree and wish to do what we can to keep our community safe. That includes you! With this, as mentioned in our previous update, our Thank You Fundraiser Weekend will be postponed to a later date to be announced. When things are safer for all of us, we will announce our Thank You Fundraiser Weekend and invite all of our backers and supporters via email, mail, as well as post an update here.

In the meantime, we will be working on getting these perks out to our backers. We want to fulfill our promise to contact our neighbor businesses first and foremost to support our local creators. It is possible that COVID-19 may have affected some businesses and their supplies (we sure know it first hand), so we are hoping to meet all our deadlines with little issues. Should anything change the delivery date, we will certainly keep you posted.

At the current moment, our bar is coming together and will have a functioning triple sink by the end of this coming Sunday. Our performance area has been painted and we will be moving on to the bar/ classroom/ and podcast portions of the space. Speaking of podcast room, last week we painted one of the walls a bright "green screen" green for podcasters who wish to film and add their own background. We also set up these sweet comfy armchairs for our podcast creatives to sit in as they record their episodes. Our liquor licence has been delayed as the office has been affected by the events of COVID-19, but we are still in progress of having our paperwork processed so that's a positive note. We have also teamed up with an incredible group of musicians, the Young Kings, who have offered to assist us in our sound department! We are so stoked for that and are excited to have that setup for you all.

We are so grateful to everyone who has been so supportive of this venture. We are so looking forward to hosting you all in our home once we are able to. The world is in a bit of a sad state. When things are a little better and we can be together again, we will be there ready to lift your spirits with good times and good people.

Be good and kind to your fellow human. Look for the helpers, and if you don't see them, become the helper Mr.Rogers knew you could be.

Stay safe. Respect everyone's personal space. Be a good human and wash your hands.

With all that has been happening, we haven't been pushing our fundraiser as hard since we know this is a rough time for all. Our fundraiser ends tomorrow and we are just so honored by all the contributions, encouragement, and support we have received.

Our schedule may have been delayed by COVID, but we have not stopped. We will continue to work towards the day when we all can be in the same room cheering and laughing with life once again.

For the last two weeks, we have been keeping up to date with the CDC in regards to COVID-19 as well as tracking fellow theaters, businesses, and institutions on how they are managing their events, classes, and rentals.

With the recent announcement from the CDC on Sunday March 15th limiting social gatherings at 50+, we will be postponing our Thank You Fundraiser Shows on April 10th and 11th to a later date to be announced. We are also postponing classes, events and rehearsals within the space as needed.

We will continue with our construction deadlines and are pushing forward to have our space ready by our initial complete date of April 1st. We started painting our walls this wonderful blue color and will be installing our triple sink into our bar this week. Our lights and sound are our last two installments which we are quite excited to get underway now that our ACs are installed (We're ready for you summer!).

Thank you for all your donations and continuing support. We will let you know when our fundraiser shows will happen, because we have so much love to give to you all. As we know this is a hard time for the arts, small businesses and our fellow humans, we promise to bring you joy and laughter once we are all able to gather again.
