Some ways to help mitigate noise include: playing music or having the TV on high volume, blanket around their crate, Thunder jackets or alternatives, and closing doors/windows. 🤗

Did you know April is National Heartworm Awareness Month? Protect your pets from this deadly disease with a prescription monthly preventative. Please contact us if your pet is due for a heartworm check.

In light of the recent and ongoing fires on Maui we are accepting donations of pet supplies to be sent directly to the Maui Humane Society. We will be coordinating with local island vets to ensure that all donations go directly to pets in need.

If you would like to help, we will be accepting donations this Saturday from 8-3 in our back parking lot. Please call the clinic cell 808-425-7700 and an employee will come out to help you.

🐾🌺 Stay informed pet parents! Recent news reports have highlighted the presence of canine influenza in Hawaii. This is a virus which is new to our islands. We are currently working with our vendors to have this vaccine available for your pet family soon.

Dogs at higher risk for this respiratory illness are those that go to grooming, day care, and dog parks.

Symptoms can range from lethargy, runny nose, coughing, and decreased appetite. Please call ahead when scheduling an appointment for these concerns.

Happy Labor Day! Thank you for the pupsicles. The founders are big time animal lovers and long time clients of Kalihi Pet Clinic. Elway and Von loved their popsicles!!!!

We are excited to welcome Doctor Jasmine Buccowich back to the Kalihi Pet Clinic Ohana!!!! She started as a technician with our clinic before graduating from UC Davis Veterinary School. She has since gained experience at another small animal practice before returning to our clinic. We know our clients will love getting to know Dr Jasmine and her dog, Cornflake. She will bring empathy, fresh new ideas, love for animals and compassion for our clients. We know you will all be happy with our newest addition to the clinic.

Reminder that the clinic will be closed Thursday (August 11) until we reopen Monday (August 15th), as Dr Obara will be on vacation.
