Maui Ola Benefit Concert last night at
Many kumu and their Hālau started the evening with the ʻAha or ceremony. My daughter was very adamant in participating for this event with her being we are from Maui. We may not be there on Maui with our ‘ohana & friends but we are there in mind, spirit, heart & prayers🙏🏼

We did a casual, beach thing on her daddy’s board. Not to worry Renka can swim and she was supervised by her daddy right at the edge of the board. 🥰

These are post edits. I posted the original, straight out of the camera images previously.

Of course, you can see that it makes the photo more dramatic! It can create a mood for the viewer. It’s the way I edit a photo. I consider the the location, background, the person I’m photographing. But be sure the photo still looks natural and not over processed which is what I used to do before.

These images are straight out of the camera. I’m a natural light photographer. I don’t like using flash. I use it if I have to but prefer not. I love how natural sunlight can deliver different effects to an image.
