Facilitating positive change in our food system takes a village, a community to regenerate the good from the past.

We discuss, plan and exchange ideas on what made Hawaii successful pre-contact.

What were the dynamics the ancients used to sustain themselves in the middle of the ocean? Using these principals builds our lasting relationships & legacy.

Voyaging Foods as a social enterprise strives to see food sovereignty as a basic essential tool for every household. This is why our company and its allies have helped us build models of sustainability like this solar dryer that can be replicated for the many not just the few. What if we all worked for the good of humanity rather than solely focused on profits and patents?

🌈 Positive signs while fixing up to dry more plants in our solar dryer. • It has been great visiting other farms to learn from their drying methods. • Bringing some of what I've learned home to these islands. • In Hawaii, we are fortunate to have abundance of wind and sun w/ 360 days of being outdoors.

Hawaii has the most expensive electricity costs in the U.S. • As a value added maker, It just didn't seem right to keep using appliances that keep us dependent.• Got big dreams for this dryer to feed our families, our communities & lessen the wasted food.
