The CDC has approved COVID-19 vaccination for children ages 6 months through 4 years and will become available this week. The Pfizer vaccine is given as 3 doses and the Moderna vaccine is given as 2 doses. Please contact your pediatrician for more information.

As a follow up to the previous post about the powdered infant formula recall, here is a list of recalled formulas and some possible replacements.

The powdered formula products included in this recall have the expiration date of 4-1-2022 (APR 2022) or later and are: 12.6 oz Similac Total Comfort, 12.5 oz Similac for Spit Up, all EleCare Infant and Junior, and all Similac Alimentum.

The powdered formula products that might be included in this recall are: 12.5 oz Similac Sensitive and 12.4 oz Similac Advance.

This recall does NOT include Similac Isomil, Similac Neosure, and all concentrate or ready-to-feed formulas.

Kicking off Halloween week with Sports Day Monday!

Costumes don’t have to be worn just on Halloween. We love seeing our patients dressed up all year long. There was another doctor in the house today, and baby siblings make the best patients 🩺

Happy Medical Assistants Week to the sweetest MAs! Thank you for all you do to take care of our patients and families! You are appreciated today and every day!

Pumpkin decorating is a fun and safe Halloween activity. Small children should not be allowed to carve pumpkins. Have them draw a face with markers (and have parents do the cutting) or decorate pumpkins with paint and stickers instead.

This little princess came in for her flu shot and wanted to show Dr. Nino what she’ll be bringing for Show and Tell at school 🩺 💉🩹 With Fall Break coming up for many students, it’s a good time to come in to get their flu shot.

Children 6 months and older should get their flu shot every year, ideally by the end of October. Say “BOO” to the flu and call our office to schedule your child’s flu shot.

We are here to support you and your family as your child goes back to school. Here are some recommendations from the CDC on what to do if your child is sick or showing signs of illness. Please do not send them to school and contact our office for more advice.

Dr. Nino celebrated her daughter’s 1st birthday last week. We love being there to celebrate these special milestones with our patients and their families as well.

Thank you for the beautiful birthday treats. They were (almost) too pretty to eat. Our office (and our kids) truly enjoyed them and appreciate your thoughtfulness.
