Christmas is our favorite time of the year! While we still have a few more weddings for the year we’re deep in planning several holiday events. Can you believe there are only 81 days left until Christmas?! Will you be on the “naughty” or “nice” list? 😉

Let’s talk signage! We’ve been having a lot of discussions on what type of signage is needed at weddings and what budget should be set aside. Like everything else in wedding planning, this will vary vary from event to event. A few things to keep in mind:
1. What signs are needed to deliver messaging? (I.E. Directional signs, seating charts, entree selections, food and beverage options, etc.)
2. What signs will enhance your guests experience?
3. What signs can enhance the theme of your event?
4. Can your signage be multi-purpose?
5. Will you keep any of the signage after the event as a keepsake?

You should first create your list of “must haves” and then decide on the “like to haves”. From there you can decide on the aesthetic to create a cohesive feel with the rest of your decor. With so many options available, you can find signage perfect for any budget!

Happy Anniversary to a very special couple!!! Three years ago COVID hit Hawaii and many weddings and events were cancelled last minute. One of them was a surprise wedding we’d been planning for a year! With the news that their venue was shutting down and had to cancel the wedding, the bride was forced to tell the groom. This couple was destined to get married on this day. With just a few days notice and the help of amazing vendors we were able to surprise the bride with an intimate ceremony for 6. A little different than planned but no less special. Happy Anniversary G & B! 🥰

So often we get the request to move ceremony floral to the reception space. The ultimate goal is to save money by repurposing floral to another area. This can sometimes be tricky with the timing of post-ceremony photos and may not be a huge cost savings when having to pay for additional standby time of your florists.

We loved that K&R allowed us the creativity to use their ceremony floral for a photo backdrop instead! They wanted to forego the traditional post ceremony photos and create something unique. Understanding the flow, timing, and space available gave them that “Dynasty” photo op they wanted and gave guests a chance to enjoy photos in front of the floral!

The Halekulani Hau Terrace has to be one of our favorite venues on Oahu! With stunning views of Diamond Head, a beautiful wrap around terrace overlooking the blue waters of Waikiki Beach, delicious (and arguably the best) cuisine, amazing staff and service, it’s a tough venue to top!
