We had an EGGciting week decorating Easter baskets, participating in our Easter Egg Hunt (phonetic Easter Egg Hunt for preschoolers) and even had a special visit from our wonderful neighbors Murphys Irish Pub dressing up as the Easter Bunny and visiting our toddlers and preschoolers.

We celebrated Lā Ku'ako'a ( Hawaiian Independence Day 11/28) by listening to our national anthem (Hawai'i Pono'ī and a mo'olelo of King Kamehameha III Kauikeauoli who was the longest reigning monarch of the Nation of Hawai'i. He established our democratic government, started a voting system for all, our first constitution, started public school system (before any other country in the world), constituted our national flag, and started the Honolulu Fire Department and sooo much more!!

The preschoolers and toddlers had fun coloring and glueing their own Hawaiian flags with markers, crayons, paint, and dotters while our infants collaborated on a large hand and foot painted flag.

Mahalo to the for coming to talk to our preschoolers about hunger and for collecting our Turkey Box which they created to collect donations all month.

Strode Montessori enjoys our tradition of celebrating Thanksgiving by making Stone Soup. Stone Soup shares the spirit of gratitude through community. The villagers offer what they have on hand to contribute to the soup, and they all come together in thanksgiving and spirit of community.

We’re grateful for all of our wonderful keiki, their families, and our teachers. Happy Thanksgiving!🍁🍽

Yesterday was a Super Sports day at Strode Montessori!

You guessed it! We are having a windy Worn-out Wednesday in our pjs for Day #3 of Spirt Week.
