✨ Meet the Staff - Coach Kaira ✨

Next up in our ‘Meet the Staff’ series is Coach Kaira!
Without a doubt, Coach Kaira is one of the happiest, most patient, and most enthusiastic coaches on staff.

She’s a ray of sunshine who greets every single student with a smile! You can find her working with our beginner girls’ classes on the weekends.

Fun fact: Coach Kaira is also a competitive gymnast here at HITS. If you look closely during the week, you might find her practicing!

✨ Meet the Staff - Coach Olivia ✨

After a brief hiatus, we are thrilled to resume our ‘Meet the Staff’ series. Next up is none other than Coach Olivia!

HITS has been fortunate to have Coach Olivia for the past few years. You can find her coaching a variety of recreational girls’ and preschool classes. Coach Olivia is a natural at working with children, using her skills as an educator to demonstrate exceptional patience and encouragement towards each of her students.

Fun fact: Coach Olivia’s favorite color is PURPLE 💜
She also recently graduated from Hawai’i Pacific University with her Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education degree. Congrats, Coach Olivia!

✨ Meet the Staff - Coach R (Ravenna) ✨

Next up in our ‘Meet the Staff’ series is none other than Coach R. She is one of our girls’ team coaches and can also be found working with our preschool kiddos on Saturdays.

With us for five years, Coach R has taught almost every class and team we offer. She is the technique queen - detail oriented and exceptionally skilled at deconstructing skills through drills and stations. While she focuses on perfecting the little details, she never forgets to celebrate each small victory with her students.

Fun Fact: Coach R loves the color PURPLE and ALWAYS wears mis-matched socks. 💜

Additionally, Coach R recently graduated from Hawai’i Pacific University with her Master of Science in Criminal Justice degree. Congratulations Coach R! 🦈🎓

✨ Meet the Staff - Coach Maison ✨

HITS family, it’s about time we introduce Coach Maison! She is one of our girls’ team coaches but can often be found jumping into preschool and girls’ recreational classes as well.

Coach Maison shows her passion for gymnastics through her coaching. She is skilled at breaking down gymnastics skills into easy-to-understand concepts and adapting to the learning styles of each individual child.

Although we will be sad to see her go, Coach Maison will be starting the next chapter of her story shortly. She will be pursuing her Master’s of Education in Student Affairs at the University of Utah starting this fall! We are unbelievably proud of you, Coach Maison, and wish you all the best. Go Utes! ❤️🖤

Fun facts: Coach Maison’s favorite color is YELLOW ☀️🌻and her favorite gymnastics skill to coach is kips on bars!

As summer approaches, some of our fantastic coaches will be taking some well-deserved breaks for graduations and travel adventures. While they’re away, the rest of our coaching staff will ensure that your classes continue to run smoothly. Not to worry, they’ll be back in no time! 😎

✨ Meet the Staff - Coach Kelly ✨

Introducing the next coach of our ‘Meet the Staff’ series, Coach Kelly. She has been hard at work starting up our Xcel program while also coaching some of our girls’ recreational and tumbling classes.

Coach Kelly is one of the most enthusiastic coaches around - always smiling and ready to celebrate her students’ accomplishments with a high-five! She appreciates the importance of being focused and working hard, but brings the FUN into gymnastics every single day.

Fun fact: “I have two dogs that I talk nonstop about! I bring them everywhere I can with me and love to hangout at the beach with them. If you have ever been in one of my classes you’ve definitely heard about Charlie and Miso!”

✨ Meet the Staff - Coach Nick ✨

Introducing the next coach of our ‘Meet the Staff’ series, Coach Nick.

He coaches a range of classes, from recreational boys and girls to tumbling. If you’ve taken classes at HITS before, we’re sure you’ve met Coach Nick (or his spiderman alter ego). Coach Nick has been coaching at HITS for over five years now!

Coach Nick is patient, passionate about gymnastics, and committed to the safety and education of every student who comes his way!

Fun Fact: Coach Nick can type 100 wpm 😮

✨ Meet the Staff - Coach Z (Zorah) ✨
Next up in our ‘Meet the Staff’ series is none other than Coach Z. She is one of the newest additions to our coaching staff, and we are so grateful for her!

Coach Z is a ray of sunshine, everyone’s professional hype person (especially during conditioning), as well as our resident bar drill connoisseur. Her classes are the perfect mix of fun and hard work.

Fun Fact: Coach Z is from New York, and her favorite color is PINK!

Who better to start off our ‘Meet the Staff’ series than Coach Melina? We’re sure you’ve come across Coach Melina at least once. She coaches a range of classes throughout the week, including preschool, girls and boys recreational, and tumbling.

Coach Melina is the queen of preschool set-ups + one of our most creative when it comes to making drills and stations for every skill imaginable! She works to bring out the best in each student that comes her way and is a fan favorite with students and parents alike.

Fun Fact: Coach Melina has a 14 foot trampoline in her yard! 🫢

✔️ Who can tryout? Interested male students CURRENTLY ENROLLED in any of our recreational classes and are AT LEAST 5 years old are eligible for the tryout.
