Foundation Systems Hawaii drills hollow bar micropiles for a new pool addition in Makena, Maui. Hollow bar micropiles are a dual component system.
1.) They pe*****te loose and unstable soil and are embedded into solid rock to transfer loads deep in the ground.
2.) Soil improvement/densification. The Hollow bar is installed with a fluid grout that fills subsurface voids and compacts the surrounding loose soils.

Foundation Systems Hawaii stabilizes an existing retaining wall. The existing retaining wall was not permitted or engineered and was in danger of collapse. Foundation Systems Hawaii crew carefully and expeditiously installed temporary emergency support to prevent collapse during construction. The repair consisted of installing a series of drilled tie-backs, steel reinforcement, drainage weep holes and sculpted colored finish to resemble a natural rock wall.
