This just in!! Our Newest single barrel(s) have arrived!

bourbon and rye single barrels picked by our fearless leader, Luke, himself!

These are awesome. The bourbon is a little over 4 years old, 113.1 proof, and an awesome pour for this early spring we are experiencing! The underlying theme in this pick is TOASTED. It tastes, smells, and finishes like any great toasted barrel. The nose is toasted custard and creme brulee, the palate is marshmallow and sichuan pepper (unique and awesome complexity), and the finish is a toasted graham sweetness that lingers. It’s a complex pour at a great price point ($57)!

As for the rye, they did not want to let this barrel go once we selected it, but you know what they say “Finders Keepers”! At just shy of 5 years, this barrel rings in at 117.5 proof, and it is a banger. The nose has some of the same toasted notes as the bourbon, but they tend to lean more in the cedar, woodshop realm. The palate has cherry, fresh jalapeno and again, a toasted note, while the finish is vegetal and presents fresh cut wood. Such a complex whiskey for its age, such a great pick.

Made in Minnesota, and absolutely delicious. Out with the overbearingly sweet and in with crisp, balanced cider.

“Heirloom” packs are drier, the “Little Dipper” had a little more sweetness. Both balanced, both worth a try!

We are huge fans of Compass Box. A few treasures found in the warehouse today! “Vellichor” means “the aroma of a bookshop”. This blend certainly achieves that.

15.6% 25 Year blended scotch parcel
12.1% 23 Year Macallan
4.1% 37 Year Coal Ila
