It's important to keep an eye on your skin — not only during the sunny summer months, but year round.

If you notice a change in a mole, a sore that isn't healing or a new or changing growth, these ABCDEs could be signs of melanoma skin cancer, which is most treatable when it's detected early.

If you have concerns, don't delay — come talk to a doctor who listens, and we’ll connect you to a specialist if necessary.

Kids bring 'sick' teddy bears to the doctor for 'Teddy Bear Clinic' 06/29/2023

Thank you again to everyone who joined our STMC Horseheads team for yesterday's Teddy Bear Clinic! We had such a fun time helping all of our young caregivers care for their little friends.

And a special thanks to Linsey and the entire WENY TV News team for helping us to share the story from last night's event. 🧸💙

Kids bring 'sick' teddy bears to the doctor for 'Teddy Bear Clinic' It's time to head to the doctor's office for a checkup, but not for kids...

We had so much fun at our Teddy Bear Clinic today at the STMC Horseheads location! The young caregivers were so excited to bring their stuffed animal patients in for a check-up.

They learned all about different parts of a visit to the doctor’s office, how to take a temperature, how to give a shot — and even how to take an X-ray. They also played healthcare-themed games right alongside our amazing STMC staff!

It was such a great way to learn about healthcare in a fun and relaxed environment. And it was also an excellent opportunity for the children to build confidence and reduce their fear of going to the doctor.

Thank you again to all those who joined us today! We hope to see you again next year! 🧸💙
