✨🧚🏼‍♀️ Once upon a time in a very magical place, a beautiful young lady met her hairy god mother… I mean fairy hair mother..?? It was .jones.beauty okay!

Anyways… Our story starts when this bish stopped coloring her hair at home with non-professional hair color. It left a horrible dark line of demarcation that would not fade one bit. She knew she needed professional help to achieve the hair of her dreams.

Her first appointment took 4.5 hours and let me tell you that box color was clinging for dear life! This first step was vital to her hair journey because it indicated how her hair would react to the lightening. From there the two made a plan for two more 8-10 hour lifting sessions.

Ellen used olaplex throughout and the client followed a STRICT at home regimen- going from an everyday washer to washing roughly 1x/week using the products her hairy godmother specifically prescribed for her hair. They scheduled 4 weeks between each session and cut her hair a total of 2.5-3inches throughout the journey.

‼️ For those of you who have dreamed of a huge change whether you have previously colored hair or not, the key is finding a hairstylist you trust to explain the process and what to expect step by step. Most projects can take 3 or more appointments depending on the condition of your hair and your budget. And taking your time is always safer for the hair and more budget friendly!

Honeycomb is evolving and at this time we are currently not a walk-in friendly salon. As much as I hate exposing that, we are having a hard time keeping up with appointment requests.

We’re currently estimating a 2-3 week wait. What you see available on our website is what we have. We strongly suggest those who value The Honeycomb experience to plan ahead and start scheduling your appointments through our website or contacting your stylist directly. Jade and Shantelle can be contacted directly as they do not offer online booking.

Each appointment request through the website needs to be approved and we may contact you to make sure it’s scheduled correctly or respond to any questions you had while making the appointment.

Our new website will be up within a few weeks and we will have a seemless process for current and new clients.

The curl master is back!

Shantelle has returned to the 607 and we are honored to work side by side once again!

She started with guiding a new client on her hair journey to revive her curls, swipe for the before and after ♥️ Yes she is taking new clients but she books out so check out her IG for a link to her personal booking site. She’s worth the wait!

With a heavy heart we are saying goodbye to a few Honeycomb stylists today… but we are VERY excited for their next chapter. Morgan Shipman-Forrest has leveled up as a stylist to take on salon ownership and I know she will do a great job. Renewal Salon and Wellness is located in downtown Elmira. They are finishing a few more last minute touches like their website and fb page but you can connect with Morgan through fb for more information.

What does that mean for Honeycomb!? Who is left? We are left with some amazing stylists but we are very busy! I’m (Justina) adding more days to my weekly schedule to accommodate current and new clients as are the rest of the girls. So if you don’t see availability through our website please email, call the salon or text the new salon cell and we will return your call as soon as possible.

Am I hiring? Not sure. As you know the dynamic between stylists and myself is top priority so when the next little busy bee comes along we will have the space but for now we are loving what we have.

New website and updates on the next chapter for honeycomb to be announced mid to late February. Please stay tuned as we expect this new stuff to make quite the buzz ♥️ 🐝 🐝 🐝 🐝
