Hounds tryouts are canceled tonight.

Hello all. This is a reminder that Hounds tryouts begin this week for all baseball players ages 8-12 for the 2023 Spring season. Please go to www.HorshamHounds.com to register if you plan on having your player tryout. The details are below.

We are mixing the age groups for the tryouts to maximize productivity with the coaches and players. Please note that your player must play Horsham Little League in order to compete in the Hounds organization. All tryouts are on Field 4.

The tryouts will be held on the following dates and times:

Aug 24 6:00PM at Deep Meadow for anyone that is ages 8/9
Aug 24 8:00PM at Deep Meadow for anyone that is ages 10/11/12

Aug 30 6:00PM at Deep Meadow for anyone that is ages 8/9
Aug 30 8:00PM at Deep Meadow for anyone that is ages 10/11/12

Sept 11 5:00PM at Deep Meadow for anyone that is ages 8/9
Sept 11 7:00PM at Deep Meadow for anyone that is ages 10/11/12

You do not need to attend all 3 tryouts but attending more gives the coaches a better chance to properly evaluate your child.

The 10U Hounds made it to the finals of the 1st annual Officer Allen K-9 Classic at Hatboro Little League. Unfortunately we ran out of steam & took second place. It was a great run for the boys to close out their season.

It was an amazing year of baseball for this group of kids and families. They represent everything that is good about youth baseball. Way to go Hounds!

The U10 Hounds bested Hatboro tonight behind strong hitting and defense from the entire team. The real star was Noah Krall who threw a complete game shutout while giving up just 3 hits! He didn’t walk a batter and struck out 6! He finished the 6th inning on just 3 pitches! The next game is tomorrow at 12:30 vs Upper Moreland at Hatboro’s field. Go Hounds!

Cheltenham, Hatboro and Upper Moreland joined us for a terrific 10U tournament this weekend. All four teams match up well, demonstrate great sportsmanship, and have a blast together both on and off the field. These boys will be playing each other for the next ten years and are off to an outstanding start as competitors and friends. Go Hounds!

The 10U Hounds team hosted a three team round robin tournament this weekend, beating the heat to go 1-1-1 in the 3 games. We play in Hatboro this week beginning on Thursday. Go Hounds!

Tryouts for the 2023 Hounds season will take place across 3 different dates this summer. Your player doesn’t need to make all three dates but at least two would be beneficial. We will have all age groups on the same dates, just at different times, which are listed below. Lastly, we are looking for a head coach for both the incoming 8U team and the rising 10U team. Please spread the word.

The 10U Hounds team is holding a small round robin tournament at Deep Meadow starting tonight. We’ll be on Field 4 at 6pm tonight then again tomorrow at 11am and Sunday at 10am. Come sweat with us and cheer on the team. Go Hounds!

As our 12 Red and Black teams prepare to wrap up their Horsham Hounds careers, they played a mixed scrimmage yesterday at the home of the AAA Phillies. All of our players, coaches and families had a wonderful day in a great setting.

The 10U Hounds team didn’t make the semifinals of their tournament this weekend but finished with a win, besting Centennial 8-1. Noah Krall was amazing on the mound for 3 innings with 3 K’s and no runs. Barrett Edwards made his mound debut and threw 2 great innings and Tyler Gaver closed it out with a scoreless frame. The offense started early and didn’t quit with Andrew Bae scoring 3 runs and Lucas Burza, Patrick McNicholas, Barrett Edwards, JJ Humes and Ryan Romano all driving in runs. Michael Goldberg drove in 3. Josh Blau made the defensive play of the day, turning a double play on a liner in the 6th. We didn’t win the tournament but we went out with a W! Go Hounds!

The 10U Hounds (and some siblings here) continued in the Cheltenham tournament last night. Michael Goldberg and Andrew Bae pitched tremendously giving up just one walk between them. We played amazing defense with JJ Humes pe***ng a would-be base stealer at second, Josh Blau making several key plays, and Dalton Schuh making the play of the game at first base. Unfortunately the bats were held quiet and we fell to Norriton 4-0. We’re back at it tomorrow morning at 10am vs Centennial. Go Hounds!

The 12U Red team battled in their playoff game last night. Brady Henry and Nate Glenn pitched great. Dylan Augustine had a huge 2 run single early. Andrew Hain and Ryan Kuhn had 2 hits apiece. Unfortunately though we fell short and lost a heartbreaker 5-4 in the bottom of the sixth. What a great season! Go Hounds!

The 11U Hounds took down Morrisville 10-1 last night at Deep Meadow to open the playoffs in front of a raucous crowd. Ryan Remaily threw three shutout innings to start, followed by two shutout innings by Will Quinn. Rheece Ellis came on for the 6th and closed it down. Rheece also hit another home run for his fifth of the season. Owen Fagan and Michael Puleo each had big hits while Connor Clark, Jackson Heath, and Ollie Staub all scored runs. Charlie McKinney and Bryan Foley had great plays in the field to get out of innings. The biggest plays were in the top of the second when Morrisville had the bases loaded with no outs. We had two plays at home which included a botched squeeze play and then a ground ball to second to get out of the inning with no runs scored for the bad guys. The Hounds take on Warrington today at 4pm on the road. Keep it rolling Hounds!

The 11U Hounds host Morrisville at 6pm on Field 4 tonight at Deep Meadow to kickoff the playoffs! Come out and support the Hounds!
