Weโre excited to remind everyone about our Hot Springs LGBTQ+ Community Network Blog! Our blog is a space for sharing stories, experiences, and insights that strengthen our community and foster connection. Whether youโre passionate about advocacy, want to share a personal journey, or have tips for living authentically, we welcome your voice.
Our first blog submission, titled "Building Community" by John Smid, set the tone for what this platform can becomeโa space where we learn from each other, celebrate our diversity, and work together to create a more inclusive Hot Springs.
We encourage everyone to contribute. Whether you're a seasoned writer or just want to share a thought, your story matters. Submissions are open to all members, so donโt hesitate to add your voice to our community.
Letโs continue building and uplifting our Network together, one post at a time!

As the new school year begins, students and parents are eager to find ways to make their school communities more inclusive and supportive for everyone. One common question weโre hearing is how to get involved with or start a Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) at school.
A GSA is a student-led club that provides a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth and allies to support each other, discuss issues affecting the community, and promote a more inclusive school environment. Whether youโre a student looking to start a GSA or an educator wanting to support your students, there are great resources available to help you get started.
The GSA Network is a fantastic resource, offering guidance on how to form a GSA, organize events, and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights within your school. They provide toolkits, webinars, and more to empower students and educators to create meaningful change.
Additionally, our Network has access to resources through CenterLink, a community of LGBTQ+ centers offering support on a wide range of topics, from mental health to advocacy. Weโre here to assist in any way possible, whether thatโs helping you navigate the process of starting a GSA or connecting you with the resources you need.
Letโs make this school year one of inclusivity, support, and empowerment for all students. If you have questions or need assistance, donโt hesitate to reach out! We can be contacted at [email protected]
This event will occur on Sundau August 25th at 3:00 PM at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Hot Springs. Dr. Herzig will share her experiences and insights on transgender care and LGBTQ+ advocacy. This is a public event, and everyone is welcome to attend.
Don't miss this opportunity to be inspired and informed. For more information, contact the Hot Springs LGBTQ+ Community Network: [email protected]
Join us and support our mission to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.
This notice is to inform you that the Special Board Meeting previously scheduled for Tuesday August 27th has been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will update everyone with new information as soon as it becomes available.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the Hot Springs LGBTQ+ Community Network.

๐ Exciting News from the Hot Springs LGBTQ+ Community Network! ๐
We are thrilled to announce the formation of a Women's Discussion Group! This will be a dynamic forum for women (including trans-fem) to come together and discuss issues relating to women. Our group is inclusive and welcoming to cis-gender women, trans-gender women, and non-binary individuals.
This is not a support group, but rather a space for open dialogue, sharing experiences, and discussing topics that matter to us all. A generous member of our community has offered their conference room for our meetings, providing us with a comfortable and private setting.
We are looking for passionate community members to take on leadership roles and facilitate these discussions. If you are interested in being a facilitator or would like more information, please contact us at [email protected].
Let's come together, share our voices, and make a difference! ๐ฌโจ
