This unique bracelet features the faces of some of Venezuelan Cacique's who bravely resisted and fought against the Spanish Conquistadors or against other tribes to protect their lands .

The bracelet itself is crafted of 18k yellow gold and the coins are pure gold. It weighs a total of 103.5 dwt and measures 7 1/2" in length and 1 3/8th" wide. This bracelet appraised for $11,775.

Four Caciques are depicted on the faces of the gold coins:

Tamanaco- a native chief of Venezuela and leader of the Mariches and Quiriquires Tribes, he led the resistance against the Spanish conquest of Venezuelan territory in the central region of the country, specially in the Caracas valley. He is one of the most famous and best known Venezuelan Caciques. He is depicted on the coin with a slashed throat because of his brutal but noble death. He was captured by the Spanish and sentenced to death by hanging, however a Spanish captain decided to give Tamanaco a choice between hanging or fighting a trained killer dog, Tamanaco chose the latter and took the dog head on. During the uneven fight the killer beast tore through Tamanaco's throat killing him. He is one of the most famous Venezuelan person and is still honored to this day.

Murachi- was the first leader of the Sierra Nevadas Merdenas. He was a strong agile leader who fought bravely against a rival tribe but was killed, leaving his beloved and legendary Tibisay.

Mara- was a brave young native Cacique who fought against the Spanish. The city of Maracaibo is named after him.

Guacamacuto- is a legendary native Venezuelan chief of both the Teques and Caracas tribes. He formed the resistance against the Spanish conquest of Venezuelan territory in the central region of the country, specially in the Caracas valley. He is also one of the most famous and best known Venezuelan Caciques.

We appreciate a beautifully crafted piece of unique jewelry here at Historic District Antiques. This gorgeous bangle bracelet is crafted from polished 18K yellow gold in a hammered, honeycomb pattern. It is set in white gold with 19 Brilliant cut diamonds, each measuring approximately 2.2-2.5mm. It has an appraisal value of $9,865.
The bracelet has a special hinge on one side that opens so that you can easily slip this beauty on. We've never seen anything like it before.

Which one is your favorite?

Micro Mosaics are so unique and intricate. Each little piece is cut precisely to create a beautiful illustration. Some of the earliest known pieces of micro mosaic art dates back to the third century of Macedonia. Originally crafted of pebbles and shells, and eventually expanding to include marble, terracotta, and glass during the Ancient Roman times. Micro Mosaics were used in jewelry, to decorate floors, and around the doorways of the villas of the time.

This beautiful example of a micro mosaic is dated to the 18th century. It features a dove in the center of the pendant, accompanied by small stars and flowers.

Personally this is one of my favorite pieces in our store. I find it to be so unique.

This charming little sterling silver set is making our hearts swoon. It features little flower motifs and lovely stamped designs. You can dress this set up with a little black cocktail dress, or pair it with denim jeans and a t-shirt. Either way, this set is sure to turn heads and make a statement.
