Do you have favorite colors? I am really drawn to soft lavender, grey and blush. Heart Sampler uses these soft light colors. A mixture of florals 🌸, lace and hearts 🩷stitched 🧵on China Pearl Linen with Sampler Threads.

Hi Friends! Just popping in to share a favorite design called Love Bird.

You will enjoy stitching this heart themed pattern with thread colors in rose, grey, and salmon. Each pattern includes a pink heart shaped button that serves as the letter “o” in the word Love. So thankful for my family, my friends and the joy that comes from spending time together. November is special as we are celebrating an anniversary, my oldest son’s birthday (and his recent marriage) along with Thanksgiving.

Thankful Thoughts is a reminder of how lucky we are to be surrounded by those we love.

I’m AnnaLee, a Houston based artist and designer creating from my laid back light- filled studio.

I am a Surface Pattern Designer specializing in needlework design. I create and publish original patterns which I sell to independent shops around the globe. Designing projects for special clients as well as magazines and catalogs is a part of my job that I especially enjoy.

Witches always show up at Halloween!

A few years ago on Halloween night 🌔 my son Oliver suggested we watch “The Witch” as a way to celebrate the holiday. It was truly the scariest movie 🎥 I have ever watched.

Here is a list of witch flicks that are more “g rated” - Race to Witch Mountain, Practical Magic, Hocus Pocus, and Kiki’s Delivery Service.

Halloween 🎃 is the 2nd largest commercial holiday in the United States. Only Christmas 🎁 brings in more sales.

Consumers spent about $9 billion on Halloween 👻 in 2019 according to the National Retail Federation. We still managed to spend $8 billion in 2020 - down a bit due to the Covid-19 epidemic. That’s a whooping $92 per person! 😳

Have you ever wondered how the celebration of Halloween 🎃 really started?

Halloween dates back more than 2,000 years. It’s even older than 🎄Christmas!

It all started as a Celtic Holiday called SAMHAIN, which means “summer’s end.” 🌳

Held in the beginning of November, the feast recognized the last day of the fall harvest 🍂and spirits crossing over, they believed the veil between the living and spirit world grew thinnest at that time.

Europeans used to ward off ghosts 👻 by lighting bonfires and - you guessed it - wearing costumes to trick the spirits.

It’s been a while since I introduced myself so here’s a little “about me”! 👋

My name is AnnaLee - I’m a designer, wife, mom, creative, and lover of all things fabric ✂️ and thread 🧵.

I started my needlework design studio to provide beautiful cross stitch patterns to stitchers 🪡 around the globe 🌎.

Spending time with family and friends makes me smile, and I am especially close to my sons, “Henry” & “Oliver”. 😍

Bees 🐝 have served as a design inspiration throughout time.

We paired bees, flowers and a favorite quote from Victor Hugo in this lovely design.

“ Life is the flower 🌸 for which love is the honey.” 🐝
