SuraVision LASIK & Cataract Eye Surgery
See More. Live Better. LASIK | Cataract | PRK | SMILE | ICL | RLE
Did you know the eye has SIX muscles that control its movement: the superior re**us, inferior re**us, lateral re**us, medial re**us, superior oblique, and inferior oblique muscles. These muscles work together to allow the eye to move in all directions.
These six extraocular muscles work in pairs to coordinate eye movements in all directions, including horizontal, vertical, and torsional movements. The precise coordination of these muscles is essential for maintaining binocular vision, depth perception, and visual alignment.
Dysfunction or imbalance of these muscles can lead to eye movement disorders, such as strabismus (eye misalignment), which may require treatment by an ophthalmologist or orthoptist.
We’re delighted to hear about your positive experience with Dr. Sura! Your feedback is much appreciated and it’s inspiring knowing you’re enjoying your hobbies again. Thank you for recommending our services.
Have you heard about our SMILE procedure (not including the actual smile you have after working with us 😀 )?
SMILE stands for Small Incision Lenticule Extraction - and although that may sound a little intimidating - SMILE actually offers the fastest recovery of any laser vision correction procedure available in the United States today.
As a SMILE patient himself, Dr. Sura can answer all your questions from the surgeon’s perspective, as well as his personal experience.
Worldwide, over 7 million eyes have been treated with ZEISS SMILE laser eye surgery. Ask us more about SMILE today.
Celebrating SuraVision’s 1 year anniversary! 🥳
Thank you to all of our wonderful patients and supporters! 🙏
We’re delighted to hear that Dr. Sura provided you with excellent care and that the ICL procedure has significantly improved your vision. Thank you for sharing your positive experience!
Why should you get LASIK?
If you want straight teeth, you get braces. If you want great vision, get vision correction. LASIK and other vision correction methods are becoming the standard for vision care.
Glasses and contacts should be used during childhood while developing to ocular maturity, but only rarely after that. In the future, glasses will be obsolete. Just watch Star Trek: No one is wearing glasses...
Does SuraVision offer financing for LASIK?
We understand that your budget is based on the amount of money you have now, not what you will have in the bank in 20 years. That is why we offer interest-free financing for 24 months. Major credit cards, health savings accounts (HSAs), and flex spending accounts (FSAs) are also accepted.
Call us on 713-730-2020 to see what financing options are available for you.
We’re thrilled to hear about your positive experience with Dr. Sura and our team. Your recommendation means a lot to us. Thank you for choosing our practice!

What exactly is blue light and how does it affect your eyes?
Blue light (not often literally a “blue” light), is a high-energy component of the visible light spectrum; emitted by the sun and artificial sources like digital screens. Its short wavelength can strain the eyes, causing symptoms such as headaches, blurred vision, and dry eyes.
This strain occurs because blue light scatters more easily, reducing visual contrast and making focus more challenging. Over time, there’s concern that prolonged exposure might damage retinal cells.
To protect the eyes, using screen filters, wearing specialized glasses, and taking regular breaks from screen exposure are highly recommended.
Thank you so much for the kind words! To view more testimonials from our patients, search “SuraVision” on Google and click on “Google Reviews” on the right. 🙂

Five fascinating facts about the uniqueness of each human eye 👁 :
1) Iris Patterns: The iris, the colored part of the eye, has a distinctive pattern that’s unique to each individual, similar to fingerprints. Even identical twins have different iris patterns.
2) Differences in Pupil Size: The size and shape of the pupils can vary between the left and right eyes in the same person. It’s common for individuals to have slight differences in pupil size.
3) Retinal Blood Vessels: The pattern of blood vessels in the retina is unique for each person. Retinal scans are used in biometric identification due to this distinctiveness.
4) Macular Pigment Density: The density of the macular pigment, which helps protect the retina from harmful blue light, can vary between eyes. This difference may impact visual acuity and vulnerability to certain eye conditions.
5) Visual Acuity Variations: While most people have relatively equal visual acuity in both eyes, subtle differences in visual acuity or color perception between the left and right eyes are common.
Thank you for your glowing review of Dr. Sura and your LASIK experience! We believe that LASIK is life-changing, and we are so thrilled that it’s been for you too. Stories like yours are a reminder for why we do what we do, and we thank you for sharing it. Thanks for trusting Dr. Sura and choosing him for your LASIK journey.
LASIK and Swimming 🏊♂️
Post-LASIK Recovery: After LASIK surgery, it’s essential to follow Dr. Sura’s guidelines for recovery, which often include avoiding swimming and water activities for a certain period. This period can vary but typically ranges from only one to two weeks.
Reduced Dependency on Eyewear: One of the primary advantages of LASIK is reduced dependency on glasses or contact lenses for vision correction. This can enhance the overall swimming experience for individuals who previously relied on corrective eyewear.
Long-term Benefits: Following the initial recovery period, many people who have undergone successful LASIK surgery find swimming and water activities more enjoyable without the hassle of dealing with glasses or contacts.
“Having had to wear glasses or contacts for 30+ years, ICL surgery has been literally life changing...”M.M.
ICLs is an abbreviation for Implantable Collamer® Lens. These flexible lenses fit behind the iris of the eye and help correct nearsightedness and astigmatism. They are safe, effective, and produce amazing visual results.
If you have a very high prescription, ICLs may provide better vision than LASIK. In fact, if you are extremely nearsighted, this may be the best vision correction option.
We're thrilled that your cataract surgery experience with SuraVision was so positive - here’s to your clearer and brighter vision ahead!
Alternatives to LASIK: What is RLE?
Refractive Lens Exchange can reduce or eliminate the need for readers and bifocals.
The lens of the human eye is a natural wonder, allowing us to autofocus on objects both close and far away, and everything in between. This autofocus begins to fade around the age of 47. As a result, the lens is clear but dysfunctional. This necessitates the use of reading glasses and bifocals. The use of bifocals or readers can be eliminated by replacing the dysfunctional lens with a new artificial lens. The new lens will last indefinitely.
Visit www.SuraVision.com for more information on RLE and to see if it may be the right treatment for you. Ask us about our 24-month interest-free financing option.

-I’m a dog person and have two 6-month-old puppies at home. -I LOVE sports!
-I like outdoor adventures. Camping, hiking, scuba diving, skydiving, skiing, rock climbing, beach days, golf etc.
I enjoy working at SuraVision because of the patient experience. Nothing feels better than to see a patient come out of surgery having better vision that they knew was possible. They are seeing the world in a totally different way. I know from my own experience with refractive surgery. People often go into surgery anxious or nervous so seeing the patient open their eyes with a huge smile on their face, is an awesome thing to see. I have received so many post operation hugs! We are changing patients' lives for the better and that’s an amazing experience and so rewarding.
