Deets and Chef Edward got to spend an afternoon with the Belong team, hanging out and going through the prep for each ingredient. We had an awesome time getting to know everybody, and they’re all schooled up on how to make this dish shine!

For tomato season, we thought it’d be fun to do a fancy BLT with heirloom tomatoes and thick-cut bacon on our made-from-scratch pain de mie bread.
The key to a great BLT is simple. Don’t reinvent the wheel; just use super high-quality ingredients.
A lot of customers have come back up to the service line to say “This is the best BLT I’ve ever had,” so it’s definitely worth trying before it’s gone!

As big UH fans, we’re excited to announce our first ever NIL deal with Center, . In addition to being the tallest person on the team (6’11”), Jacob also has the highest vertical! He attributes both to eating a diet rich in kale and other high-quality vegetables 😉
Joking aside, Jacob is a great young man, and we couldn’t be more excited for him to be our first NIL athlete! GO COOGS!!

Two popular dishes are back—Massaman Curry and Maize Runner—plus a new Autumn Harvest salad!
This is the curry that Chef helped us dial in, so we want to mention a couple updates: 1. Chef G WON JAMES BEARD 2023 BEST CHEF TEXAS 🎉🍾 and 2. has opened in their new digs at 3401 Harrisburg — you need to go!
Also: We added som tam (green papaya salad) to the curry, which balances out the dish with a pop of freshness.

We’re hosting some of Houston’s best chefs for a sandwich collab series to celebrate our sandwich launch. Kicking things off with Chef Ope Amosu of this coming Sunday, 8/13, at 5525 Weslayan!
Herve is the 🇺🇸 dream. He started with us as a dishwasher in 2020 and worked his way up to food prep, then bowl-maker. Last week, he began training as our newest MANAGER(!!!!!)! We’re can’t wait to watch him progress through this next step in his journey!
One of our team members, Maria Carreño, got her US citizenship, and the interns surprised her with an awesome cake!
Edward and Owen really leaned into the “stripes” part of the stars & stripes theme.
We got out on a (HOT) Saturday and worked with the Conservation team at Buffalo Bayou Park to help support our local ecosystem and got some team bonding in along the way! 🌱👫

Our Norwegian salmon is cooked perfectly and served with roasted sweet potatoes, green beans, crispy shallots, arugula, mixed grains, lemon-caper yogurt sauce, and a lemon wedge. It’s the perfect, nutrition-packed lunch or dinner.
