Our congee is limited to ensure the freshness because we cook our congee fresh daily! It's cooked for 3 hours making sure that our congee has a smooth texture. Due to Hurricane Beryl, we have no power in our area. The whole Chinatown has no power. Centerpoint is working as quickly as possible to get power back on, but for now, we have no clue when power is restored. Save the trip, do not come to Chinatown today! There is no power! We are now serving goat in clay pot!! For all those goat eaters and lovers! Come on over and give it a try! It's very tasty!

Customers refer to this as congee, rice soup, or porridge. Have you tried it? If not, yall should try it! Congee is usually made with 2 types of rice, Jasmine and long grain rice and usually it's the best with those combinations. Soak overnight with crushed preserved egg and crushed dried bean curd sheets. It usually takes about 1.5 - 2.5 hours to make and the result should be silky smooth like ours! Congee is best to have in this type of cold weather or even when you're sick! We make our congee fresh daily so we make certain amount and once we sell out, we soak the rice for the next day!
