Just a friendly reminder: It’s okay to not be okay right now!
The only thing we can do right now is focus on what we can control and take each day as it comes. When you find yourself feeling anxious or overwhelmed remember to focus on what you can control, limit news consumption, and take it one day at a time.
If your anxiety about the virus is high right now, but you don’t want to go to a public place to talk to someone we offer phone sessions!
A little reminder today that your worth is not found in your relationship status!
If not, maybe it’s time to take a step and make some changes. Time to pursue better mental health not just for yourself, but for the little ones that want to be just like you.
What choices do you need to make today to improve the way you feel about your life?
So often I find myself telling my clients “let’s figure out how to make you okay even if ________ doesn’t change”. Life will always provide you with reasons to not be okay, but you have the ability to choose how much it impacts you. Maybe you need help making these choices. I would love to talk with you about how to do this!
Other people’s thoughts, actions, and beliefs about you are not measures of your worth.
With everything going on in the world right now it is easy to feel anxious. Next time you feel anxiety creeping in (or completely taking over) try repeating some of these affirmations.
As you start thinking about your New Years resolutions consider what you want to do differently this year to take care of your mental and emotional health.
Happy Friday!! Before heading into the weekend and the last few days before Christmas take a second to check in with yourself. Checking in with yourself can help you to feel calmer and more centered heading into what I imagine are going to be a busy few days ahead.
This time of year demands a lot of us, both physically and emotionally. Remember to pause in the midst of the busy to take care of yourself and refill your cup. Maybe that means taking an afternoon to rest, or saying “no” to something, or maybe it means scheduling a time to talk to a therapist to find some peace. Whatever it looks like for you, make time to be okay in this holiday season.
Important to keep in mind this holiday season!
Frequently feelings of anxiety or depression come from focusing on the things in our lives that we can’t control, which makes us feel helpless. Try focusing on the parts of your life you can control and start to feel empowered.
How would making this change impact your relationships and perspective?
Happy World Kindness Day! What ways will you show kindness today?
An important reminder to consider the mental health of our veterans as we take today to honor and thank them!
Gratitude is a choice to focus on the goodness in your life. For the month of November take care of your mental health by focusing on what you are grateful for, finding the goodness.
The challenge:
Every day find 2 things you are grateful for, then,
Tell them to a friend and invite them to do it with you!
Or Maybe, write them in a journal or post them on social media!
Comment below with your plan to practice gratitude this month!
Sometimes the journey of healing can be overwhelming, but you don't have to do it all at once. Just one step at a time.
Just a friendly reminder that it's okay to not be okay! And it's okay to ask for help!
Your mental health is just as important as your physical health!
