When I initially started planning my 28th birthday I couldn’t help but to feel a little different this year. I feel like I’m at an awkward stage of life. I don’t have kids, but should I be dressing like a “mom”, I’m not 21 so I probably shouldn’t be going out anymore, I don’t feel old but my body tells me otherwise, I’m sad about my 20s almost coming to an end, but so damn excited to see what my 30s has in store for me. What is a mini lip? 👄

A mini lip is a half syringe of lip filler. I typically recommend a half syringe if you’ve previously received lip filler or if you’re wanting to gradually build a fuller pout. For first timers, I usually recommend starting with a full syringe which is roughly the size of a small blueberry 🫐 This allows me to enhance your natural beauty in a noticeable and impactful way. With time, I’m able to maintain your gorgeous shape and fullness with a half syringe every 6-12 months!

It’s Friday the 13th, let’s kill BS trends! 🔪

Dangerous TikTok trends:

🩸HYALURON PEN- aka lip filler at home is never a good idea! There is a risk for infection or worse, a vascular occlusion. A vascular occlusion can occur when filler is injected into a blood vessel causing tissue death or even blindness.

Pro Tip: seek a skilled medical professional to preform injectable services and to dodge these complications.

🩸DIY SPF- aka but why? Homemade sunscreen can be dangerous because it may not provide adequate sun protection and can increase the risk of skin cancer! It’s not worth the risk, besties!

Pro tip: use a mineral sunscreen 30 SPF or greater protecting from UVA/UVB, blue light, pollution, and infrared radiation. IMO is superior 🤌🏼

🩸DERMAROLLER- aka the bloody mess at home with minimal results. Improper use can lead to bruising, injury, scarring, redness, pimples, and sometimes infection.

Pro tip: consult with a medical professional to determine if this treatment is best for you. In office microneedling will provide the proper depth and optimal results.

Lip Filler + Botox Lip Flip 💉

What is the difference between lip filler and a lip flip? 🤔

Lip filler is hyaluronic acid which is used to increase volume, hydration, and definition to the lips. It can last up to 12 months depending on your metabolism and lifestyle. Bruising and swelling can last up to two weeks.

Lip flip is used with either Botox or Dysport to help roll the upper lip out creating a fuller looking top lip when smiling or laughing. Not everyone is a candidate, if your top lip doesn’t tuck under and disappear when smiling/laughing this treatment won’t do anything for you. This treatment has no downtime, most people stop by on their lunch break and return right back to work immediately after. A lipflip can last up to 3-4 months depending on your metabolism and lifestyle.
