MASKNE aka Acne Mechanica:
This is acne caused due to the friction of the mask rubbing on the skin. The oil, sweat, bacteria in the mask along with the dead skin cells being trapped under the mask creates a real disaster for our skin, especially those of us who suffer from acne prone skin.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Here are a few tips:
✨If you’re wearing a cloth mask wash it after EVERY use. Use clean detergent without scent or fabric softer, this will irritate and congest skin further. You may also use your face wash. Opt for a disposable mask instead and throw it away after every use.
✨If you are reusing one mask multiple times a day, in between uses, spray the inside of your mask with alcohol to sanitize.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨NO MAKE UP OR ACTIVE INGREDIENTS UNDER YOUR MASK!!! This WILL lead to breakouts. No layering of products.
✨Less is BEST. Keep your skincare routine simple while wearing the mask. No active ingredients such as retinol, acids etc. I would recommend using those type of products at night time. I love the Night Cream and Retinol.
✨If you have raw skin use an ointment. My recommendations: Bio Gel. If you have mask rash or breakouts use a spot treatment or healing mask. Nobody will see it under your mask :)
✨Getting regular facials and chemical peels will help keep your skin from getting to congested.

FOWARD MOTION! 🌟This beauty has come such a long way from when we first started back in March. Her breakouts used to be cystic, painful and very inflamed, now she may get one or two pimples a month! My biggest advice is to treat your acne as soon as possible! Here's why: Without treatment, dark spots and permanent scars can appear on the skin as acne clears. Treating acne early may prevent acne scars. In general, the more severe the acne, the more likely it is to scar.

How long does it take you to cleanse your face?
Cleansing your face for one minute, especially using an oil cleanser, helps to soften the skin, clean out pores, and clean off all the pollution, makeup and sweat from the day. This also helps your skincare products work better!
But remember, not all skin types are created equal, and it's important to keep yours in mind! If you have acne or oily skin, cleansing for a minute-long wash helps exfoliate clogged pores, clean the pores, and wash away excess oil and debris on the skin.
